Buying a car at Simpson Chevrolet of Garden Grove was easy. There was no haggling about price. My sales person Chris Sanchez was awesome. Unfortunately, the amount of overhead the service department currently has is astronomical in my opinion. There’s not enough manpower to cover the amount of work that is needed to be done on vehicles department currently has is astronomical in my opinion. There’s not enough manpower to cover the amount of work that is needed to be done on vehicles in a timely manner. My vehicle was with Simpson Chevrolet in Garden Grove for over a month. The customer service was also subpar due to the fact that employees were also dealing with the hectic work environment I’m sure… there was times that I hadn’t heard from somebody in over a week for an update on my car so I would consistently have to follow up to find out the latest update myself. Keep in mind, I have a car that I purchased roughly 2 years ago and it has low miles as well so it’s not an older car! GM did provide me a loaner vehicle while Simpson worked on my car, but the vehicle provided was nowhere near comparable to the car that I drive, which I found inconvenient… I could understand if it was only going to be for a week or a few days but I had to drive this vehicle well over a month. The issues with the car were so substantial that they had to actually replace the motor!! That is also not Simpson‘s fault that is GM’s. But like I said because of all of these manufacturer issues, the employees are being overworked and run down to make up for manufacturing, mishaps and failures on GM’s part. When I finally did receive my car back, I had requested for it to be washed mind you I do understand they don’t clean the interior just the exterior and I was reassured that all of the cars get washed during service. When I picked up my car, it was filthy like it had been sitting at the dealership for over a month so you can imagine its state. Even after I specifically requested it to be washed before I picked it up. To be honest, I was just happy to have my car back so I took it as is. Unfortunately, there is something currently misfiring in the motor even after all that work was done and I need to take it back AFTER ALL THAT, so I am just dreading the process of waiting and time it takes to have my car looked at and worked on at this location. I am going to wait till after the holiday and then I will it back in even though I really don’t want to just the thought of it gives me anxiety! More
