We are certain this negative review is written by a former employee (female) who was recently terminated for theft and drug use while on the clock. Our salesman Daniel made the discovery and the former employee was very angry at him for turning her in. We filed charges with the local Sheriff's office. She threatened to post negative reviews all over the internet, hence we've been expecting this. We have informed DealerRate and asked them to remove the review. How we know the false review is posted by her is; 1) we have not had any customer complaints since the middle of March, 2) The salesman's name is Daniel...the only person that referred to Daniel as Dan was this former employee (unbeknown to Daniel why she always called him Dan). Please see all of the other reviews posted here ~ all customers refer to Daniel as Daniel.

My name is Tom and I am the owner of Sky Motorworks. I've been in this crazy business since April of 1984...almost 32 years. I love this business...never got rich, but I love it. I've had many, many, many salespeople come in and out of my operation over the years and none have been worth keeping like Daniel (the salesman this customer is writing a bad review about). Through the years all the other car salesman here were fired because they over promised and under-delivered. What I'm trying to say is that I need to defend Daniel and tell everyone our side of this story. Daniel explained to the customer that it was a solid good-running old Cadillac, but that it was a used car that wasn't perfect by any means. In his complaint (bad review) the customer points out that Daniel said "I just want to be 100% UPFRONT and HONEST with you" as Daniel wanted the customer to realize the car had many issues and was nowhere near a perfect car. Daniel offered to walk around the car while on the phone and describe to the buyer everything that's wrong with the car, but the buyer was just concerned about an exhaust gas test. I had a feeling right from the start that this wasn't going to turn out well. I told Daniel that I felt the buyer was expecting a brand new used 1998 Cadillac for $3,500 and that we should bow out. I left it up to Daniel to make the decision. The customer had us perform an exhaust gas test and video the test. The first video we sent him was unacceptable because in the video he could not see the whole car even though the test was on the engine. We had to re-video the test starting from wide shot showing the car then zoom in on the engine because he didn't trust us that we were videoing the car he was buying. It went on like this for days before the buyer made the decision to buy. We told him to please have a third party company inspect the car, but he insisted to not spend the money. Where I feel very compelled to defend Daniel is that he would never tell any customer what is written in this review; "He said I was out of luck. Daniel then called me an extortionist and an anti Christian because I told him I was going to write a review." Bad reviews in the car business are nearly unavoidable because we are not like Walmart or Target where you walk up to the customer service desk and slam an unwanted toaster on the counter and shout "I want my money back!" We sell 330 per year on average. 80% of our sales are out-of-state whereby people buy our cars sight-unseen. That's roughly 260 cars per year sold sight-unseen. Each year we receive on average 5 bad reviews from people that expected more than what they received. The other 255 customers were happy with their purchase. Out of that 255 happy customers we get on average 10 positive reviews each year. 10...only 10 positive reviews on line. We get many emails and phone calls from customers thanking us how much they love their car, but people just seem to not want to sit behind a computer and write a review. Conversely, angry customers go straight to the computer to try and slay us with their negative words. I am sorry if I can't make everyone happy all the time. Nonetheless, Daniel is a great guy that is far from the typical sleezey used-car salesman.
