Had an overall good experience when dealing with Peter Stratton at Smart Motors Toyota. I must commend him with his patience with me. I was talking with numerous sales reps & would sometimes I forget thin Stratton at Smart Motors Toyota. I must commend him with his patience with me. I was talking with numerous sales reps & would sometimes I forget things already explained to me. Never an issue though, Peter was quick to answer & be up front with me. I know emails & internet inquires are not always the favorite for product specialists & sales reps, but it was the most ideal way for me in my situation, and Peter did a terrific job staying in communication with me. I believe we might have went back & forth for about a month. The distance of travel to get the vehicle is one of the main reasons I probably did not end up purchasing the car, but I was willing to make the trip. I admit I also thought the price was a bit over valued, but they did drop the price to a place I thought was more comfortable & priced to buy. The vehicle sold days after the price drop, after being listed for nearly a month. That would be my only hiccup, is that they could have probably sold me this vehicle a lot sooner at the same price they sold it a month later. In the end, it was such a quality vehicle, it would've sold no matter what... just at what price & to who. Any attempts to contact anyone else from the sales dept was unsuccessful, so I can only review about Peter Stratton. He was straight forward, to the point, patient & always answered my emails. He wasn't pushy or trying to keep information from me just to get me to come into the store. I would reach out to Peter again if I was in the market for a vehicle. But I will say this, I did not have any encounters with the service department, but I had seen numerous bad reviews. I will admit it makes it harder to trust the sales dept, when the service dept is struggling. It's less significant if you are buying a NEW car, but for a lot us in the Used Vehicle market, we are depending on the dealership to provide the public with a safe & reliable vehicle... that has been repaired with high quality service & technicians. I'm probably out of pocket speaking on something I had no personal experience with, but it was something I considered when buying a used vehicle. Considering all the conversations I had with people, Peter was one of the more pleasant guys to work with, even if I didn't buy a vehicle from him or Smart Motors Toyota. If you are in the market, don't hesitate to reach out & see what they can off you. At least you know you'll be speaking with a real person who is really trying to find the vehicle that works best for you. More
I recently had a disappointing experience with Smart Toyota Dealership. A month ago, I reserved a Toyota Highlander and was placed on the waiting list. During the initial visit, I informed the salesperson that I intended to trade in my current car, which is in excellent condition with low mileage. I emphasized that I would proceed with the purchase only if they offered a fair price for my trade-in. The salesperson collected my car's details, used KBB and other valuation websites, and assured me they would offer a price consistent with those estimates. After weeks of waiting, I was notified that the new car was ready. We spent several hours completing documentation and applying for a car loan through the dealership. However, when it came time to finalize the trade-in, the financial manager, Mike Latif, offered me a price that was $5,000 below the average KBB value. Despite acknowledging my car's excellent condition, he provided reasons that didn't make sense to me for the lower offer. After some discussion, he only increased the offer a bit. I felt misled and that my time was wasted. It seemed like a tactic to make customers hopeful and then pressure them into accepting a lower trade-in value to maximize their profit. This experience was frustrating and left me dissatisfied with the dealership's practices. In today's market, transparency and honoring commitments are crucial. I hope Smart Toyota Dealership takes this feedback seriously and improves their approach to customer service. More

Our experience with Smart Motors has always been nothing but positive. The showrooms are always clean, salespeople and staff very friendly. They take appointments, but they don’t honor them. I made an appointment weeks ago for a basic tire rotation. I showed up at the appointment time and they told me it’s at least an hour wait. On the coldest day of the year, a Sunday, my tire pressure light went on. The next day, under time constraints, I lined up at Express Service twenty minutes before opening. All bays were full . The agent motioned me to the appointment service bays. The Smart team immediately filled my tires as they huddled in the service Bay Area. One mentioned that the heaters inside the building were broken; management had not fixed them . Please fix the heaters. These folks deserve optimum working conditions since they provide excellent and reliable care. We need happy Smart employees🤗 More
Only dealer that offered any kind of warranty on older used vehicle. Paid a premium but condition of vehicle, warranty, and 24 month service plan made it worth the extra money.
