This is a follow up to my horrible experience with Smith Haven Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Dealership. I received a letter from Chrysler Capital in reference to an amount that was owed for Interior Damage and Disposition Fee. I contacted the dealership right away to discuss; for 2 reasons: - I know that there was no interior damage -I repeatedly asked the sales (group) if there would be any other fees that I was going to have to pay on top of all the costs I was paying at the sale of the vehicle. Never was there a mention of the Dispostion fee or that there was any damage to the car. I first spoke to Alex, who stated he couldn’t assist me. He escalated the inquiry to his boss Dan. He contacted me and didn’t want to help me in any way! I requested his boss’s name – Charles Elenterio. Charles Elenterio contacted me back and from the minute he called me I knew he was very arrogant and had no interest in assisting me. He actully put me on speaker and stated that he had work to do and didn’t really have time to listen to me. I asked him his full name and then proceeded to call Chrysler Capital. Chrysler Capital was very helpful. Josh from Chrysler Capital told me that the reason I was charged the $150.00 for Interior Damage was because one of the keys was missing. I told him that I handed both keys in with the vehicle. Josh further reviewed my case and said that this was an error. The dealership failed to hand the keys in with the vehicle. Josh and I spoke about the disposition fee of $595. I told him that I thought if we continued to purchase another jeep that the disposition fee is usually waived. He stated that it is, but only if you continue to finance with Chrysler Capital. I told him I wasn’t given an option when purchasing the jeep, the dealership stated I had to use TFCU. I wish I was given the option because dealing with Chrysler Capital was a better experience then what I have dealt with when working with TFCU. Josh spoke to his supervisor and told me that this behavior is unethical of the dealership. The dealership should have given me options of who to finance the vehicle with. The dealership is accountable for this disposition fee. Chrysler Capital would be escalting this issue on their end. When dealing with Smith Haven Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram, be sure that you have everything in writing, because their word doesn’t seem to be trustworthy.

Needed to add another horrible experience with Jeep. After dealing with them to lease the vehicle we decided never to use them again even for oil changes, etc. We unfortunately have an issue and need to go back to them due to the warranty of the vehicle. We called on Saturday to get an appointment and cannot be fit in until 9/20.....this is ridiculous. I called again today thinking maybe they can do something, I was told they are under staffed, going through construction and cannot assist us until 9/20. If I was to bring in the jeep without an appointment the jeep may sit there for a week at least before it is even looked at. I hope that they understand that this is not helpful to us at all and we will be sure not to lease from them ever again!!!
