This was my first — and definitely my last — time doing business with Smith Imports at 2965 S 3rd St in Memphis. I originally heard great things about their service department, but my experience was the co business with Smith Imports at 2965 S 3rd St in Memphis. I originally heard great things about their service department, but my experience was the complete opposite. I brought in my wife’s GLS 450 to get the heat fixed. The service manager, Chad, told me to bring it in on 11/12 and said he’d diagnose it the same day or the next. Two days passed with no update. When I called, he admitted he never wrote my number down. He promised the car would be ready by 4 PM on 11/13, then called at the last minute saying it wouldn’t be. The next day he said it was ready, but when I picked it up, the heat still didn’t work. They had done no work on the vehicle but told me it was ready. By this point I was extremely frustrated, not to mention inconvenienced. My wife had been without her car for 4 days already. He offered to pick the vehicle up from my home, fix it, and detail it, so I agreed. On 11/20 he texted saying he still couldn’t figure out the problem and would issue a refund. The car was returned on 11/21, and I sent my card info to process the refund — which never happened. When I asked about the refund, the over told me he would not refund the money and that if I wanted my money back, I’d need to bring the vehicle back in and they would put the old part back in my vehicle that they had taken out. Old part or new, the car wasn’t fixed, so I should not have been charged as though it was. On 11/24 I spoke to the owner again when he called changing his tune. Andy Smith said he fired Chad and assured me he would either fix the issue or refund my money. I brought the vehicle back on 12/1 based on his word. The next day, I received a call saying Andy would not fix my vehicle or refund me. I was simply told to come pick it up. It has now been 20 days. My vehicle is still not repaired, and Smith Imports refuses to refund me for work they could not complete. Completely unprofessional experience from start to finish. We also incurred fees from Uber rides and rentals since my wife was without her vehicle for weeks. I would never recommend this place to anyone. More

I have gotten several Mercedes from Smith Imports. I haven’t been disappointed yet. I never knew buying a car could be so easy.
