Working with Mike Critelli and Greg (Manager) when I purchased my 2010 Nissan Frontier (used with 10,000 miles) was overall a positive experience; however there are some things they could have been impr purchased my 2010 Nissan Frontier (used with 10,000 miles) was overall a positive experience; however there are some things they could have been improved upon. I wanted a great deal on the vehicle and they worked with me to get the vehicle down to a great price. They knocked off the $605 transportation fee after a brief discussion about why that charge should be removed. Although we did not trade in our old car, they gave us a good value for the trade in - sight unseen. That was nice. The dealership could have room for improvement. When we were negotiating the price, there was a lot of back and forth between Mike, our salesman, and his managers. Although that is probably a sales strategy, it would be better if the salesperson could have some authority to negotiate without going to management. It is important to note, the back and forth is not necessarily the salesman’s fault, but perhaps a bottleneck between the sale team and management. Also, when we picked up the vehicle, it took about 2 hours to finish the financing paperwork. I would have liked the paperwork to be completed before we got to the dealership. It is important to me NOT to have buyer's remorse when making sizable purchases. I feel I got a great deal and would certainly purchase another vehicle from Nissan of Smithtown (St. James, Long Island, NY). I would be loyal to Mike and Greg if/when I purchase another vehicle because they were flexible and fit my budget. More
