I purchased a 2006 Murano, certified from Smithtown Nissan after trying three other Nissan dealers in Queens (where I live). The three dealers advertised certified Nissan cars but denied that they were Nissan after trying three other Nissan dealers in Queens (where I live). The three dealers advertised certified Nissan cars but denied that they were certified when I came in person. One offered me an extra cost warranty which was not Nissan certified. Another offered me the balance of the original warranty (not certified) and the third offered no warranty at all. I drove all the way from Queens to Smithtown to purchase this car, passing several Nissan dealers on the way because of a very positive first impression I got from the dealership and specifically our salesperson, Matt Brown when I visited the dealership a few weeks earlier. Matt was very busy, as this was during the cash for clunkers program and he was handling two or three other clients. Matt still found time to show us the cars of interest and gave us all the time we needed to drive and evaluate the cars. Matt was courteous, considerate and very friendly. He is obviously a great asset to Nissan Smithtown. During the financial negotiations I felt that Matt was very fair and that I got a great car at a good price. He said that he would take good care of my daughter when she came to pick the car up and he was true to his word. Every aspect of my purchase was pleasant and a major difference from the Queens dealers. I will purchase my new Nissan Maxima from Matt, and will use Smithtown Nissan for my future service needs. I told Brian that every time I pick my new car @ Smithtown Nissan {it's my 10th car that I bought their} it's filthy. Brian told me if I took the car as is he would have the whole car re-cleaned & the molding replaced.Brian also told us that he would get us a free gift to make up for our inconvenience. I brought the car back the following week & received a call a couple hours later that the car was finished { i saved the message} . When I got to the dealer they me they had to order the molding. I told Greg the manager that a REAL salesperson would have ordered the new molding when he made the appointment for me to bring the car back. They also scratched the trunk when they where cleaning the car. So I {the customer was inconvenienced AGAIN because i had to bring the car back TWICE. PS i was going to buy my son a new Nissan Sentra but he now is driving a Hyundai Elantra More
Overall, shopping at Smithtown Nissan was a pleasant experience. I found the salesman, Brian Vasak, to be extremly helpful. He is a dedicated employee and was committed to good customer service.
