VW offers carefree maintenance for 2020 and up models which includes the first Minor maintenance (oil changes and check of brakes) and first Standard maintenance.(oil change and a bunch of other checks. which includes the first Minor maintenance (oil changes and check of brakes) and first Standard maintenance.(oil change and a bunch of other checks. This dealership claimed that my car was not entitled the maintenance work covered under VW carefree maintenance and that I would have to pay for it's first oil change (I was exactly 1 year from my cars service date and the dash displayed the change oil message). I contacted VWOA. Good experience contacting corporate. However I was unsatisfied with the response I received from the dealer and ended up going to a competing VW dealer in the area. I can only assume that this dealership has been charging customers for service that VW owners are entitled too.
