This was one of the poorest service experiences I have ever had, ...no exaggeration. I had put a headrest in backwards on my 2022 Kia Telluride and was unable to remove it. I made an appointment with Brew ever had, ...no exaggeration. I had put a headrest in backwards on my 2022 Kia Telluride and was unable to remove it. I made an appointment with Brewbaker Kia in Montgomery, AL using the online reservation system and explained the issue in some detail on the reservation form. On arrival I had to explain the situation again. Apparently the reservation form was never looked at. I was quoted a minimum service charge of $155 to diagnose the problem. After a little more than 2 hours the service writer told me that the problem could not be fixed without replacing the entire seat frame and headrest and quoted more than $1600 for the repair as well as having to wait until at least sometime in June for the parts. I declined at the time. When I got home I did what I should have done before going - I checked on the Kia Forum on the Kia website and found this is a common issue with a fix that requires a flat head screwdriver and less than 1 minute to fix. You simply pop off the plastic cover on the headrest arm that does not have the spring lever, exposing a second master spring lever. Push the lever, remove the headrest and reverse the process - problem solved. I called the service advisor back, got his voicemail, and left a detailed message. I have not heard back from him or the Service department on this experience. Needless to say I now have serious doubts about being able to trust anything this dealership may tell me about "needed" repairs on this vehicle. More
