I was in Pittsburgh, (I had driven from NY) when my car needed to have the brakes fixed, tires rotated and oil changed. When I dropped my car off at South Hills Honda for this service, (it was near where I was staying). I informed the service rep. that the driver side door made a noise when I locked the car but that I didn’t want to fix it at this time.
When I came to pick up my car, I was charged $414.39, $50.00 of that was for them to just tell me what I already knew about my noisy driver side door, (they didn't fix the noise). Then I was surprised to not even drive my Honda Fit 2 feet out of the parking spot to hear the breaks squeaking. I went right back into the service center. After hearing the noise the Honda service rep. agreed that there was still a problem with my breaks.
When I came back to pick up my car the next day the 2 Honda employees that I had interacted with the previous day, (and also when I had originally dropped the car off), acted like they didn’t know who I was. I was told that "If I was here to pick up my car go to the cashier." The cashier said, “They checked your brakes and we're not charging you", Like South Hills Honda was doing me a favor, (I had already been charged for the job not done properly the first time). Not one employee that I had previously interacted with acknowledged or apologized for the inconvenience. When I tried out my car this 2nd time the breaks were really pulling but at least they weren’t squeaking, South Hills Honda had my car for 4 working days and no one had bothered to check that the brakes had actually been fixed or working correctly, twice. When I ask to speak to the manager, I was told that Mr Glenn Bowery was out to lunch. I got in my car and left.
1 day later my low tire pressure light came on. South Hills Honda had rotated my tires and put the wrong amount of air pressure in them. Variations can occur due to change in temperature, but the air pressure in my tires was way too low to be contributed to just weather temperature variations.
My South Hills Honda service experience was not of the quality or standard that I’ve come to expect from Honda, they are inconsiderate, incompetent and not willing to acknowledge or apologize for the inconvenience they cause for negligent service?
