I am writing this as a severe warning to any consumer, especially those traveling long distances, to watch out for the pricing tactics at South Shore Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Inwood. My experience shows especially those traveling long distances, to watch out for the pricing tactics at South Shore Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Inwood. My experience shows that the guarantees you receive over the phone may completely disappear once you are sitting in the finance office. My transaction began with multiple days of phone discussions regarding a 2024 Ram ProMaster 2500 cargo van advertised online with a substantial dealership discount. I spoke directly with a representative who gave me explicit verbal assurances that the internet price was the actual selling price of the vehicle. I asked point-blank about hidden dealer add-on packages, mandatory protection plans, or administrative fees, and was told repeatedly that the advertised price was the final price before standard state taxes and DMV fees. The only stipulation was utilizing in-house financing through a standard, refinanceable loan, which I accepted. Based entirely on these confirmed figures, I bound my auto insurance policy and made the long trip down from Ulster County the next morning. The warning signs started the moment I arrived in the area. The salesperson informed me that the vehicle had been sold immediately after closing the previous evening. I was then shown a substitute, identical 2024 holdover van that was listed online for 2000 dollars more than the original unit. When I requested that they honor the pricing agreement from the first van on this substitute vehicle, the desk claimed it was also suddenly unavailable due to a pending contract with a buyer in Texas who was paying 55000 dollars. Management refused my request to view a time-stamped system log or deposit confirmation to verify this pending status. Furthermore, the physical window sticker on that exact van showed a factory MSRP of 54765 dollars alongside their own handwritten active lot price of 34950 dollars. The General Manager then stepped in to find an alternative vehicle and told me to look at a 2025 ProMaster 3500, stock number SU9505FC, promising to personally structure the figures to resolve the issue. At that exact moment, this specific van was actively featured on the dealership website for 38750 dollars. However, when I was brought into the finance office, the manager presented an internal spreadsheet that set the baseline purchase price at 45000 dollars. This represents an unadvertised markup of 6250 dollars over their own public retail listing before any legitimate state fees or taxes were calculated. When I pointed out the live internet listing on my phone, the finance department flatly refused to honor the 38750 dollar price. This is an entirely unacceptable way to treat a qualified buyer who traveled hours to do business in good faith. Because the actual purchase contracts presented at the desk did not match the pricing guaranteed during our phone consultations or listed on their public website, I photographed the spreadsheet, declined the inflated figures, and left the building with my down payment intact. I have compiled a full chronological file consisting of phone logs, timestamped text messages, website screen-recordings, and photographs of the showroom monitor. This complete documentation package is being submitted directly to the New York State Attorney General’s Consumer Frauds Bureau, the NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection, and Stellantis Corporate Compliance for formal administrative review. Protect your wallet and stay away from this showroom. More

****BUYER BEWARE**** About to send a letter to the attorney general Bait and switch tactics, get told a manager will reach out never happens Sales person is gone all the time, Can't transfer to ano attorney general Bait and switch tactics, get told a manager will reach out never happens Sales person is gone all the time, Can't transfer to another sales associate Complete xxxxxxxx dealership l've bought 30+ cars out of state and made deals happen no problem, not the case with this dealership Super shady dealership, took me 10 times of messaging on high end vehicles to get a response. Then I get told that since I'm out of state I would need to physically come in to sign documents. I've done this over 10 times and not once has that been an issue especially when they are the ones doing the financing I don't see what the risk is. On top of that they do another thing I've never heard of they don't take deposits only an insurance card on the vehicle you are looking at to hold it. Not to mention this is all before I have even seen any numbers for the vehicle in question. Along with all the other reviews something tells me those numbers are going to be different than what's advertised online. They are quick to take your credit app and run with it. All major red flags that you wouldn't expect at a Dodge dealership but you can't trust anyone anymore. Never have I had it be so difficult to buy a vehicle. This dealership can kick rocks More

Stay away. Fake reviews I've purchased a lot of vehicles from various dealerships nationwide and this dealership has by far the worst customer service.Do not bo Fake reviews I've purchased a lot of vehicles from various dealerships nationwide and this dealership has by far the worst customer service.Do not bother to waste your time. You will literally waste it. They are selling a vehicle, I am in the market to buy yet somehow it is impossible to make a purchase. I inquired last week on a Wednesday and it is now Monday with no response. Good luck getting past the one and only lady who answers the phones there. She will literally hang up on you and state that you are complaining by simply asking for detailed information on a vehicle. More
