I was told during the purchase of the vehicle the oil change is due every 7500 miles or 6 months whichever happens first. The sticker placed in my vehicle after 1st oil change did not reflect 6 months or 7500 miles. It reflected less than 5 months and 5000 miles. When asked about the math not mathing. I was told it really should be based on the oil life vehicle provides. When I asked if that would void out warranty if over 6 months/7500 miles, I wasn't provided a straight answer. The new sticker placed in my vehicle during 2nd oil change did not provide a date but again only reflected 4,999 miles. I just believe there should be precise information especially when it comes to a warranty potentially being voided out because of incorrect or varying information. More

I had a much different experience with Southern Chevrolet than I did with Southern Dodge Chrysler where I purchased the vehicle for $46K. I ended up at Southern Chevrolet after SDodge Chrysler cut me loose w than I did with Southern Dodge Chrysler where I purchased the vehicle for $46K. I ended up at Southern Chevrolet after SDodge Chrysler cut me loose with a 2020 GMC with a check engine light that came on, on my drive home from making the purchase. SDC said that I had an appointment with their service, but when I checked to be sure, because it is a six hour drive, it turns out there was no appointment and they had absolutely no intention of helping me out. Twenty-six phone calls later, I had the fortune of calling Southern Chevrolet, because - as I was able to determine - they have a qualified diesel mechanic. I ended up in the hands of Matthew Surles, who was friendly and helpful. Even though it was another dealership that sold me the truck, Matt felt some responsibility to try to get me back on the road. Ultimately the problem was diagnosed and repaired. It was not covered by the drive train warranty, so I ended up paying for a costly repair immediately upon purchasing truck. Matt did everything he could to ease the pain and I am grateful to him and S Chevrolet for their professional approach. It would do some good if the folks at SDodge Chrysler were to spend a couple of days at SChevrolet to learn a thing or two about customer service. It has only been a week now but, very good service (including customer service), timely completion of work so far, and it runs just as expected. My Chevy truck has nearly 200 miles on it and I have done pretty much all of the maintenance on it since I bought it new in 2010. Southern Chevrolet found that my mistake was small and corrected it, plus a small oil leak at the Rear Main Seal. This is something I did not want to deal with at my age so I paid the nearly $4000.00 for the repair. It was done in a timely manor and though I have only had it back for 1-1/2 days, It actually feels like it is performing better but I will know more within a month or so (4 to 5000 miles). As far as the administrative process, the person that managed my service (I don't remember his name) was pretty much the best that I could expect. 1st of all, he was courteous, professional, honest, not surprises and knowledgeable when answering my questions and explaining cost.
