Took my truck in for two issues - overheating and shaking when driving over 70 mph. The overheating issue was my water pump and covered under warranty. I was charged $175 "diagnostic fee" for each issue. The only "diagnostic" done for the shaking was taking my truck out and driving it and then making a recommendation for a service to see if that identifies the issue. Then when asked about why the diagnostic fee for the water pump wasn't covered by the extended warranty, I was told the provider denied paying it. When I called my provider, they said they would cover it. I asked the service advisor to call back to the provider and get the diagnostic fee added to the repair cost, that didn't happen. When I finally got the warranty work completed, I was informed that the warranty company didn't cover the entire cost of the repair and I was responsible. I was never informed before paying that the provider wasn't covering all the work. I asked for a complete breakdown of everything to include the shop time, water pump price, etc. and what the provider said they would cover. I was told that the "email" that provided the information from the warranty company couldn't be found. I was also told by the service advisor that they would talk to the service manager about refunding me the $175 diagnostic fee to take my truck for a short drive and email the warranty company to get a copy of the email that said what they would cover cost wise. I have yet to receive any response and feel that they service department is being shady and trying to rip off it's customers More
My experience is with the service department. They have been very friendly very knowledgeable and just in general a very nice place to take your car in to get it worked on. Nice waiting room. Ordered a battery connection replacement and oil change. Was told my day old battery needed to be replaced. Tire rotation and inspection were performed without my request or permission. Every thing was great with the check in and the service performed. I do wish that when making an appointment and dropping the truck off the night before it would have been done closer to noon instead of at performed.
