I showed up at this dealer with two minor problems, and needing annual inspection. The service rep was personable and pleasant. Rear light bar leaked, and I asked why. Front left headlight collected moist needing annual inspection. The service rep was personable and pleasant. Rear light bar leaked, and I asked why. Front left headlight collected moisture, and I asked why. The dealer ordered $3100 worth of parts to fix picayune problems, and sent me home to wait. A week went by. I called. 1. Dealer phone operator is "AS (a-stupid, not AI), and would not connect me to MY service rep. 2. Parts dept had no clue about ordered parts, referencing my phone number (as I was assured sufficient). 3. I recontacted, via insistence a service rep. The next day, my parts were declared present. No idea how long they had been present. 4. Three hours wait time, and entire assemblies ($$$$) had been replaced to cure (1) leaking gasket, and (1) improperly (non-) venting headlight assembly. At this dealer, "tech" problem solving is to buy expensive "assemblies" and replace them exhorbitantly expensively, instead of fixing minor problems. MAJOR ripoff. Compny warranty work expenses are ridiculous, and post warranty work is theft. I am a graduate engineer who, in my senior year, started an auto shop with two other senior students that was in business 20 years later. Southern Dodge of Chesapeake needs adult supervision in its shop area. I will never be back. More
It was my first service on my Jeep and there were some questions about my service and how long I would have to wait. It was my first vehicle checkup since purchase in the Spring. Went back to check and the lady said it would be a while longer. On my way back to the waiting area, I ran in to the general manager who actually did a lot of the leg work to find the right vehicle for me during the purchase process. He asked me how I was doing he remembered me from the purchase and asked if service was taking good care of me. I said I think so, he went out and talked to the service provider and my key was in my hand and out the door 5-10 minutes later. He is a great member of the Southern Team. Please promote him if there are higher positions. He's good and he cares about the customers!!!! More
Easy to drop off and get set up the night before. Was given notifications when service was nearly complete. The alignment was spot on and my main concern, never felt that thing ride that smooth.
