I had an appointment for 9:30 AM on Aug 9th. After waiting six hours for a state inspection, I was told my rear brakes failed. It would cost $780 to replace pads and rotors. They would need to o After waiting six hours for a state inspection, I was told my rear brakes failed. It would cost $780 to replace pads and rotors. They would need to order parts and keep my Jeep overnight. I was unable to leave it overnight, so they put a rejection sticker on it. In the meantime, I was able to find a shop to replace the brake pads and rotors for $487 on Aug 16th. That shop was unable to re-inspect my Jeep immediately and said I would need to leave it with them for a few days. They recommended I take it back to the original Inspector at Southern Jeep because he would only be required to re-inspect the item that failed and he would be required to do it within a reasonable timeframe. When I called Paul to find out about having my rear brakes re-inspected, he said he couldn't do it until Aug 29th, which would be 6 days past the 15 day rejection period. He also added that I would need to leave it with them all day just to have them reinspect the rear brakes. At this point, I will be forced to find a shop that can do another full inspection before the 15 day rejection period ends. More

Where do I start. Had an appointment at 8am dropped my van off at 7:15 because I had to be at work at 8am. They no longer offer shuttle rides so I had to walk across military highway to get to work. Call at 1145am to get an update to find out they havent even looked at my van. Was told I wasnt priority since I wasnt a waiter.. well I was waiting at work to pick my van up before the rain started they finished with my car close to 3pm. It was now rush hour traffic time and pouring down rain and I had to walk back across military highway to come pick my van up at 5pm because well cant leave early.. I get in there after being soaking wet to the cashier for her to give me my keys. I asked your not going to have someone pull my van around? She states no everyone is gone for the day.. oh? I took my keys walked through the back of the shop to get my van from the back which wasnt close at all. What is the point of making an appointment? If its going to take you almost 7 hours to look at my car. I told them that Id have to walk to get my car since they do not offer rides and Id prefer not to have to walk in the rain let alone rush hour traffic. The longer I have my van the more I dislike southern. Southern has gone down hill even more since it was bought out by someone else but kept the southern name.. Do your self a favor and do not buy from southern unless you want an absolute headache. More
