The service rep was good, please don't let this survey come down on her. My 2015 Ram 1500 V6 motor with about 111,500 miles starting to develop a tapping sound in the engine. I was told the service department need my consent to tear down the motor for about $2300.00. If they see anything that need to be repair they would call the warranty office so see if they would cover it. My complaint is why we cannot see if the warranty office will cover the possible issue before tearing down the engine. I know my engine is not the only engine that had this issue. You guys should have records of previous history about this motor. If I knew ahead of time that the warranty office will cover the issue, then i could give you an intelligent answer to repair my vehicle. The service department have a clue of what the noise is, because in the write up the next step was remove the cover and inspect the lifters. Why the service department can't tell me if the warranty office cover that issue of the lifters, rocker arms or etc. I decline the service because i do not know what the warranty office covers. Southern Auto Group Service Department should know what their warranty office definitely covers when explaining to the customer.
