To start off… this has been the most pleasant and straightforward purchase of a car that I have had and witnessed in years! Demetrius displayed the BEST customer service and patience throughout the e straightforward purchase of a car that I have had and witnessed in years! Demetrius displayed the BEST customer service and patience throughout the entire car buying process that I have ever seen. He answered our many questions from inventory, features, selection, financing, and provided the most transparency that I have ever been shown from a car salesman. Not only was Checkered Flag Jeep the best facilitator for our New car purchase but it was the best in communication and no xx antics. We visited numerous car dealerships and they gave us the run around regarding our requested car make, model, features, etc. After specifically stating the exact car that we wanted they jumped through hoops - NOT to sell us the car that we WANTED - but to sell us the cars that they HAD. Then when we asked questions about their high prices they were charging for what they had available, they decided to explain their “invoice” to us and why they had to up charge over $6K on the final price and couldn’t go any lower. They even asked US to provide them with the paperwork from other dealers to see what they were charging….it got to a point where we had to stand up and walk away from the table and out of their office. I appreciate car salesmen like Demetrius who gives straightforward answers and no nonsense advice when it comes to what they can and cannot provide to their customers. If ANYONE is in the market for a new car… I strongly advise you to check out Checkered Flag Jeep in Newport News (I am sure that all the sales reps are amazing but I recommend working with Demetrius)!!!! We. test drove the car and were prepared to purchase. Took a closer look under the hood, found suspicious markings on the motor. When checking the Carfax test drove the car and were prepared to purchase. Took a closer look under the hood, found suspicious markings on the motor. When checking the Carfax, Found the motor had been replaced buy the dealer with a used motor. Questioned the salesman, he could not verify the Carfax or our inquiry. Asked to speak to a Manager who refused to meet with us, or provide information about the motor replacement. We walked away because of the dealerships dishonesty and refusal to deal with the situation. We found the mileage was different on the motor than advertised. First, that is ileagle but more importantly it is immoral. We have purchased from Checkard Flag in the past, and could have reported this to DMV. We decided not to report it, however will NEVER purchase from Checkerd Flag again and will tell all our family and friends about your ethics. More
