The staff at Hall Hyundai was great. The best part was the absence of pushy salesmen. The staff would help you with every question but would also stand back and not try to sell you at every moment. The staff at Hall Hyundai is by far the friendliest, most patient people my husband and I have had the pleasure to do business with. We first went there to find a cheap, used vehicle because we were sick of being a one vehicle family with two kids. Alex was kind enough to spend several hours with us showing us numerous vehicles. We found one we kind of liked but needed to think about. There was no pressure from him at all to decide right then, he said call him when we decided what we wanted to do. We went home and thought about it over the weekend. Monday evening we went back and decided we'd like to see the numbers for a new car. Alex and Nick took the time to work out all the numbers for buying vs. leasing with and without a down payment. The numbers for a lease worked for us so they stayed almost 2 hours past closing time to work it all out with us. In the end we feel we got a great deal and throughout the process we had the friendliest guys helping us out. They really seem to care about you as a person and not just getting a sale. I know they really helped us out and we would recommend them to anyone looking for a car. More
First of all, Hall has a great group of people at this dealership. I visited Hall Newport News twice before “window shopping” (no test drive or dealing) and I told them I was making my “list” of vehicles dealership. A slight push to “talk turkey” but no “real” push at all, and that’s expected it’s what they do for a living. That is what brought me back. A year ago, with a new car purchase for my wife, at the end she was in tears driving her “happy new car”, I was furious, it was not just one dealership but an entire list of car brands, we did not visit any Hyundai dealership at that time. Regarding my trade in, I believe they rated my vehicle right on regarding it’s trade in value. Do the research it’s not Blue Book value it is trade in value. Remember, one needs to understand this is how the people at a dealership make a living by selling your/our cars for us. Bottom line: Half way through the negotiation my wife was running out of time and they drove her back home to complete an appointment. That was very polite. I stated my needs and concerns and they worked with me generously (and with out the 15-20 minute waiting just to tell me no) not the same car originally same model but different color. I was fine with that, tit for tat. Respect on both sides goes along way at this dealership I suspect they appreciate respect just as much as their customers. I will recommend this dealership to any of my friends. More

Before visiting the dealership I went to their web site and called the Internet Sales group. Instead of getting returned calls, I had to follow up. The second item, the Internet Price was not the real price. The way to describe the Internet Price, it contains any, and all, possible discounts and none of the add-ons. So this created a bad start to the overall experience and I was ready to move to another dealership. I was then connected with Jamie and he seemed to be genuinely interested in making things right, so I agreed to meet with him in person. Once we met, Jamie and his team at the dealership managed to make things right and I made the purchase. I have had better car buying experiences at other Hall Dealerships, however, I believe the team at Hall Hyundai is truly interested in doing the right thing by their customers and I would recommend them. I can actually say this was a very enjoyable car-buying experience! Justin Porter, my saleman, was low-key and very helpful and responsive to my questions. I felt no pressure at all. There was a $2500 rebate on the 2010 Sonata and they also gave me additional discounts off of the sticker price. The Sales Manager, Dave Gosselin, reinforced what I had read on the Internet about the Hyundai Corportation and also added to that, giving me a great feeling of assurance about my purchase. I have had two Hondas and this was a big switch for me! The warranty clinched the deal since I plan on keeping this car for about 7-8 years. The Finance Manager, Devin, was also very helpful, especially helping me with what to do about the sale of my Honda and processing the paperwork for that. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone who is interested in buying a Hyundai. I hope I am just as satisfied with the service of the vehicle. They promised me a car wash when I get it serviced, since that was important to me also. I plan on coming back to this site after I have had my Sonata for awhile, with the expectation I will be able to give this dealership great praise for their servicing of the vehicle also. More
My Fiance' and I came to Hall after leaving a competitor who wasted our time for 4.5 hours. Everyone at Hall listened to everything we said, understood our price ranges and limits, and helped us make decisions we were comfortable with. We arrived with a specific vehicle in mind; printed out from their website complete with a listed price. They never tried to move us to another vehicle. In fact, they never tried to "sell" us anything. That made all the difference in the world. We ended up buying a second car while we were there that my Fiance' picked out with one of the Managers while I worked on my paperwork. It was completely her decision. To give you an idea how solid of a team they are, they stayed open 1.5 hours after their closing time to help us AND the desk clerk (I wish I knew her name) gave me something for my headache when I asked if she had anything. She didn't even hesitate. The showroom was immaculate and they offered us a drink and a snack within minutes of us shaking hands with everyone. This visit to Hall was easily the best consumer experience of my life! More
