Update: Southern States Mazda is currently repairing my tire. However, the situation has been frustrating and concerning. Their technician initially told Rachel Lancaster that if the tire were plugged, it tire. However, the situation has been frustrating and concerning. Despite this, Service Manager Todd Drawer insisted that, in his evaluation, the tire was safe to drive on. I reminded him that I have a child to transport and expressed my concern about driving on a potentially unsafe tire. While they offered to sell me four new tires, they also agreed to replace the damaged tire and shave it down to match the others. I declined the offer for four new tires but accepted the replacement plan. When I asked about a loaner vehicle while waiting for the replacement, I was told again that the tire was safe to drive on — essentially denying my request for alternate transportation. After some back and forth, I ended up taking my car with the plugged tire. As a concerned parent, I took the car to Firestone for a second opinion. The manager there confirmed that the tire was unsafe and advised me to take action against Southern States Mazda for allowing me to drive away in that condition. At this point, I’m unsure if I’ll continue taking my car to Southern States Mazda for service. Their handling of this situation has made me question whether they truly prioritize customer safety. Although I still have a few service agreements with them, I’m hesitant to return out of concern for potential retaliation. My advice: Avoid purchasing the Premier Maintenance Plan from Southern States Mazda — their actions show that customer safety is not their top priority.
