DO NOT BUY HERE Worked with this dealership over two months on a new CX-5. When the numbers finally were agreed on, it all went down hill. The sales manager, Steve, never called when he said he was going to the day I was supposed to take my new vehicle. Then when it was ready for pick-up, it wasn't 100% ready to take off the lot! Rather then apologize, Steve decided to hand my title back from my trade in because " he had already jumped through enough hoops for me". What?! Who does that? I walked out and found another dealership on the advice of Mazda corporate. More

Would someone like to sell me a car ? I decided to trade in my 2012 Mazda 3 and took a drive to southern states in Raleigh . Though it's 20 miles away it didn't matter because I had bough I decided to trade in my 2012 Mazda 3 and took a drive to southern states in Raleigh . Though it's 20 miles away it didn't matter because I had bought my current model there. I walked around about 15 minutes even going up by the offices looking at the models there not a single person approached me. There were 3 salesmen on the lot. 2 talking with other customers. At the least a hello, a nod for acknowledgement , I'll be with you shortly, is anyone helping you? So you see a common denominator I was completely ignored. I completely understand working with customers to sell them a vehicle can be a time consuming process but to be so tunnel focused and not be aware of your surroundings that you cannot acknowledge another potential customer is lack of customer service. Trust me we all do not like to be hounded by salesmen or women in any establishment but to be at least acknowledged to give me the opportunity to let you know if I needed help or not. So I left. The next day I get a phone call from that dealership since I went on line and looked at the 2015-2016 Mazda 6 that I was interested in. I told the woman who called me from the call center about my experience and she genuinely apologized and went above and beyond to arrange an appointment the following day. I had a specific time he would look out for me so that we could meet. I again drove to the dealership at the set time. No one in the parking lot. I looked around awhile in the lot. No one approached me nor were around. I then went up to the lobby where the offices were no one there as well but a gentleman towards one of the back offices (they are glass) texting away on his phone and not once looked up. At that point I was done ! I left and went to another Mazda dealership whom I will review later that was amazing ( and no appointment). As well as they knew nothing about nor did I discuss my previous experience . I am a proud owner of a Mazda 6 and I have a neighbor that loved my car so much they will be driving their this evening to shop for a new vehicle. Mazda is a great product I just hope that Southern States realizes customer service on any level is important and that their our other dealerships such as Cary and Wilson who in my opinion doesn't miss a beat wether you are buying or just looking ! More

I had a terrific experience buying my new mazda6. Of course buying your first new car, and it being as cool as this model should be a happy experience. The folks at Southern States Mazda really made me course buying your first new car, and it being as cool as this model should be a happy experience. Horrible experience dealing with Southern States Mazda. They rush you through all paperwork and financing and once you buy the car if you have any questions or need anything you won't be able to get a soul They rush you through all paperwork and financing and once you buy the car if you have any questions or need anything you won't be able to get a soul on the phone - not even the manager will call you back. I moved shortly after purchasing car and this dealership can't seem to figure out to put my license plates and registration in an envelope and mail them to me. There are way too many other dealerships that need and want your business run away from Southern States Mazda and consider yourself lucky. More

My experience purchsing my Mazdz3i from Derek Quint was both "painless" and actually enjoyable! His personable approach to his job so impressed my husband and me that we decided to buy my car from him ev both "painless" and actually enjoyable! His personable approach to his job so impressed my husband and me that we decided to buy my car from him even if we didn't get the exact financial terms we wanted. However, in the end we got a better deal than we had expected. I've always felt that, within reason, the salesman is more important than the "bottom line" in most major financial transactions. I think Southern States has a real "jewel" in Derek and I will certainly recommend him to anyone who's considering purchasing a new car. By the way, I also love my new Mazda3i! More
