Terrible Experience I just wanted to take a minute to write this review, so first time car buyers know what they are getting into if they choose to purchase at Southtowne I just wanted to take a minute to write this review, so first time car buyers know what they are getting into if they choose to purchase at Southtowne, Newnan. This was my first experience with a dealership, because I have not purchased from a big car dealership before. I was just going in to see what my options were and to see what was available to me, being a first time buyer, just building my credit. I first scheduled an appointment with Diane Spurrling, because I have had a few people tell me she was great for them. However, I get to the dealership, she is busy with another customer, she tells me that Tommy Bowling will take care of me. I sit down with Tommy, and we start to discuss car options. At first, all was going well. Once I express to Tommy that I would not be buying a car today, I was just here to discuss my options, it seemed as if his entire attitude towards me changed. Tommy would not share with me the interest rate on the purchase. He was very pushy with me to purchase the car, THAT DAY. He said to me 'Why did you even come here, if you are not willing to buy a car today'. After going into the office with his manager, he comes back to me and says 'my boss is going to be mad if you do not purchase this car today'. He was very adamant on me signing papers, even once I expressed to him, I only wanted to see what my options would be if I had chosen to go through Southtowne. After, I told him I would not sign any papers, and I would just go ahead and go, he tossed the keys to my current car across the counter to me. He proceeded to say 'thanks, bye' and gave me NO contact information or business cards. Tommy has left a VERY bad taste in my mouth with Southtowne. I can only hope, whoever I do decide to purchase with, will be much more hospitable with me, and it will not be Southtowne. Customer Service is not something that can be taught, and when you want to sell a car, that is NOT how you do it. More
