My F150 was 18 yrs old and we decided to trade it in on a used newer F150. I followed F150 on CarFax and saw Speck Chevrolet of Prosser had a 2016 with fairly decent low miles. We went and looked, test rode, used newer F150. I followed F150 on CarFax and saw Speck Chevrolet of Prosser had a 2016 with fairly decent low miles. We went and looked, test rode, everything looked clean (bad tires and chip in paint and on front window) but with those blemishes we were fairly confident. After purchasing, I took the truck to my mechanic in TriCities to have a safety inspection (belts, etc) because I never had done business with Speck before. Unfortunately my mechanics uncovered a severe seepage of the rear differential and the transfer case. He said I should contact the Dealer as they should have noted this. Since it was only 4 days since I bought it, I did call them. They had me return and put truck up on rack. The mechanic at Speck showed me the leak and said to the Manager, it was noted in the report before I bought the truck. The Manager then proceeded to basically scold me and repeated Its Buyer responsibility to know before signing used vehicle contract. I’m 66 yrs old with severe arthritis- what was I suppose to do- crawl under the truck? I relied on this dealership to be honest and trustworthy. They were not! Buyer Beware! More
I would not use this dealership again period. They took my deposit down on January 6th, 2022 for a new 2022 Silverado 1500. On April 21st I received a PO (so I could figure out financing as my They took my deposit down on January 6th, 2022 for a new 2022 Silverado 1500. On April 21st I received a PO (so I could figure out financing as my truck was coming in soon) and on this PO in handwriting was "5k Dealer Markup". This was how they notified me (full disclosure as they say they did, not). Not a word was said before this and I had already waited four months for my truck. The sales manager "Rick" was no help at all and only threatened to keep my deposit multiple times. When I filled out the online survey for Chevrolet I started to get all sorts of feedback from this dealership (where were they before this) as I did not give them a good survey and they were immediately calling me to see what we can do about it. And don't get me started on their so called sales manager "Alex" who rudely hung up on me while I was explaining my situation to him over the phone. Nothing can be done when they are taking advantage of their own customers by getting every cent they can out of them in these hard times. As if inflation and the cost of every necessity wasn't bad enough and here they are raking in money hand over fist and charging up to $5,000.00 over msrp. Way to help your customers Specks! I will not be using this dealership again even though it is the only dealership I have ever bought a new vehicle from (both of them).
