Thank you for sharing your concerns with us. We understand how frustrating and stressful vehicle issues can be, especially when the problem worsens unexpectedly. When your service appointment was scheduled, you advised us that your Volkswagen was experiencing an intermittent loss of power condition. The vehicle was driven to our dealership and dropped off for diagnosis. During our inspection, our technicians were able to confirm the intermittent loss of power, but the condition could not be consistently duplicated and the exact cause could not be identified at our facility. With your approval, we arranged for the vehicle to be evaluated by the Volkswagen dealership in State College. At the time transport was initiated, the vehicle was operational, and we offered transportation as a courtesy to assist with the next step in diagnosis. Unfortunately, shortly after leaving our dealership, approximately 100 yards, the vehicle experienced a significant loss of power. Once this occurred, the driver immediately stopped the transport attempt and returned the vehicle to the dealership rather than continue operating it. We certainly understand your concerns regarding the vehicle’s condition and the potential for additional damage. At this time, the information available to us does not indicate that any additional damage occurred during the attempted transport.
