I had been looking for a Jetta Sportwagen TDI 6-speed manual for months. I noticed the new listing from Spitzer right away and I have family in the area, so I asked if they could look at it. Never heard from him again. So the end of August, while researching area dealership inventories, contacted Ed Schmidt VW in Toledo. Within 48 hours he got the car we wanted, in the color we wanted with the specs we wanted. We've had it for a month and love it. P.S. we also told Mr. Bush that we are also seriously looking at replacing out current tow vehicle with a VW Toureg within the following 2 years. Likely will not be returning to Spitzer, since Ed Schmidt in Toledo was so prompt and accommodating with round one.Summary: lost $29,000 sale in round one...likely not to get second sale for $35,000+ in 2 years hence...total loss of sales in 2 years...roughly $65,000....lost service attached to those 2 vehicles in the years to come....priceless. Drove 4 hours to view a car that was called pristine. 4 curb rashed rims, a door scuff, and miscellaneous interior dings and scuffs communication.
