So when I came to Sport Durst I was very warmly greeted, as were my parents, by Hieu Nguyen. At first he seemed very friendly, but he also knew his way in sales, he was very worldly, and fought hard to get me the very best deal I could. After a couple hours, after choosing, test driving, and finally filling out paper work, he had me leaving behind the wheel of a brand new 2015 Mazda 3, for a 3 year lease. I am very pleased with Hieu and I would recommend him to any one I know in the market for a vehicle. More

Buyer Beware *****BEWARE****** Sport Durst charges a $599 "documentation" fee, on top of the negotiated car price. It is hidden in the "documents, taxes and fees" *****BEWARE****** Sport Durst charges a $599 "documentation" fee, on top of the negotiated car price. It is hidden in the "documents, taxes and fees" line in the paperwork. I had asked for a breakdown on the $632 charge labeled as "documents, taxes and fees" (thinking this was quite high) on a $4000 car and was told I could get this information only from the financial guy at close out. By the time checks were written and a debit card was charged, I was given the breakdown...to find out Sport Durst charges an EXTRA $599 for "documents"??? AND to find out property tax and registration was not included in this at all. I did call back the next day, since I left with a terrible feeling in my stomach. Several calls later, I spoke with the General Manager, Bunky Gandy, about this issue and suggested the $599 "documentation fee" Sport Durst charges should be disclosed earlier in the negotiation process, or at least explained to the customers by the salesperson when they ask. Bunky Gandy was unnecessarily rude and raised his voice several times. I had started to tell him I was going to write a Yelp review and he cut me off "YOU'RE THREATENING ME?" I just wanted to warn future customers of this $599 fee while they are negotiating the price for a car at Sport Durst. It's important to know this while keeping ones personal financial situation in mind. All Sport Durst has to do is hang the "$599 documentation fee" sign in the showroom and not BEHIND the customer's head in the financial closeout room (where it's not possible to notice it) AND TELL THE CUSTOMER when they ASK what it is, UP FRONT. I do have fond respect for salespeople there(love them actually!)...and am sorry they are not allowed to disclose a sketchy sounding $599 fee to the customer when they ask about it. I have two calls into Mr. Durst with whom I'd like to discuss his company's policy of obscuring this onerous fee until the last possible moment. It turns a great experience into a bad one and causes customers to feel unnecessarily taken advantage of. Perhaps Mr. Durst will read this and return the call. More
