I must say that Sport Subaru gave me a great experience buying a used car. I saw a used Honda Civic on one of their web pages, I called in about the car. The salesman went as far as making a short video fo buying a used car. I saw a used Honda Civic on one of their web pages, I called in about the car. The salesman went as far as making a short video for me to see the cars condition before I drove and hour and a half out there. The car was immaculate, paid for the car and before we knew it we were out the door. The car has been great. That was the best used car experience I've ever had. They were all about the customers needs and wants, everyone was very kind and not pushy the way most dealers are. I'm very grateful to everyone there. Alex was a 5 star dealer across the board. He was honest with an upfront price quote. I had a handful of questions and he made sure to get an answer on every one. The cost was exorbitant relative to the problem, While they fixed the problem, a leaking gas cap resulting in a check engine light, the cost to diagnose and fix the problem was over $180. I could While they fixed the problem, a leaking gas cap resulting in a check engine light, the cost to diagnose and fix the problem was over $180. I could have bought a generic gas cap for $15 and fixed the problem myself. Even if the generic gas cap fails more frequently - say every 2 years, it would take 12 generic gas caps to equal the $180 I spent at the dealer. In the future, if I get a check engine light, I will buy a generic gas cap first before bringing my car to the dealer. In general, I would prefer to bring my car to an independent mechanic than to the Subaru dealer - unless the work could only be done by Subaru. More
