You have to know the exact problem when you check in because the mechanics do not seem to know how to trouble shoot or are not given the time to trouble shoot but if given a known part to replace they d because the mechanics do not seem to know how to trouble shoot or are not given the time to trouble shoot but if given a known part to replace they do a good job. We had a squeal when driving so when we brought it in they replaced the rear brakes with Subaru brakes on 6-14-2023 then after picking up the car and driving it home we still had a squeal so we scheduled another service appointment and they replaced the front breaks with Subaru brakes on 6-29-2023 and that fixed the issue. The funny thing is that on 3-18-2023 they did a multi-point inspection and they said the breaks were good and we only put on 2,542 miles from the multi-point inspection to when they replaced the rear brakes on 6-14-2023. We feel the replacement of the rear brakes (pads & rotors) for $376.08 was a waste because it did not fix the issue and the brakes were still good. In addition during the 6-14-2023 service visit we had them look at getting the ac fixed. They replaced an o-ring in the line from compressor to condenser then preformed and evac and recharge. The ac worked kinda when we picked up the car but on the 1hr drive home after about 30 minutes the kinda cool air stopped and was blowing out warm air. This cost $342.32 and did not fix the ac issue. We were going on vacation so we needed got rental car so we had air conditioning. Recently on 12-16-2023 we had scheduled a service call to have an air bag check lite looked into that my wife had seen. When I took it in the air bag check lite was off but only a passenger air bag lite was showing and I was shown by the service tech that the passenger air bag light showing on and off was normal whether or not a person was sitting on the seat or not. Later when my wife said that the air bag light that she saw was not showing I called and asked the service manager if they could diagnose the air bag issue and they said without the air bag light being on they had no way to diagnose the issue. Well this morning my wife started the car and the air bag check light came on again. This could be a big safety issue if the air bag exploded while my wife was driving and to only be able to diagnose it if the air bag check light is showing seems like a poor competence to diagnose a problem especially considering it could be a safety issue. Now we will need to schedule a service appointment again and concerned by the time we can bring the car in and if the air bag light goes off we will get the we cannot do anything again and it is an hour drive to their shop for us so not so easy to just drop by when the air bag light goes on again. More
