Great Prices but No Frills, Mostly Auction Cars I was enticed into Star Auto Mall because of their listings on the internet. That didn't inspire a lot of confidence, and even though I had sent in notice that I was interested in four or five cars ahead of time, they clearly hadn't kept track of what they were and we never talked about two of them. This place is definitely no frills, and I don't mind that if it helps keep prices low. However, I was pretty amazed at the disorganization. Tonya left partway through my visit, and so Hector took over, but he kept taking care of totally other things (including paperwork) and made me wait, and wasn't even clear on which cars I had test driven. Nobody ever even talked me through the features of the cars, they just pulled out the ones I mentioned and sent me off on a test drive. Tonya even pointed out the shortfallings in one car. I liked being able to test-drive by myself, but it was a little disconcerting to me that nobody seemed to know what was going on. I got the distinct impression that they had no idea what cars were even in stock, and I get that, given their volume, but things might have gone better if I had been able to interact with an actual salesperson who cared or took me seriously. Also, I applied for financing on one of the cars, and they were able to get me approved, but the interest rate they quoted was four times higher than the deal I ended up closing elsewhere. I can't help but wonder if my experience would have been different if my husband came along as well. More

This dealer is a festival of poor people skills and bumbling incompetence. The salesman I was working with dissappeared for about 30 minutes, leaving me with somone else's personal information. Everyon bumbling incompetence. The salesman I was working with dissappeared for about 30 minutes, leaving me with somone else's personal information. Everyone was rude, sarcastic and partonizing. The car I was interested in was priced so far over book value that no banks would approve it. When i didn't agree to those rediculous terms, I was belittled and yelled at. Will be shopping elsewhere.
