I have owned several new cars in my time and this 2015 Nissan Sentra has been the one that has given me the most Star Nissan the worst service ever. I have owned several new cars in my time and this 2015 Nissan Sentra has been the one that has given me the most issues. It started with a driver side trim inside the car that came apart days after the purchase of this car the dealer of purchase claimed that it was just lose and that they pushed it back in. this however was not the issue and I had to take the car back. The trim was broken and they had to replace it with a new one. Then Different noises have appeared and one was the result of something to do with the brakes. I take the car to the star Nissan they check it and come to the conclusion that the issue is the drums and rotors. They cut the rotors and this should have fixed according to the dealer service department but the noise did not go away and returned a different noise was disregarded and was told that they couldn’t hear anything. Of course I pick up the car and days later the noises are still there. Now the current issue, the weather strip on the passenger side rear door comes apart and I pushed it back in its place. A couple of weeks later it happens again I push it back in. some time later it comes off again. I finally take the car to the dealer and the service consultant (Ruba Sosa) puts the weather strip back in and then tell me “this happens, it is normal, sometimes when you bump it the weather strip comes off”. Now they give me this bs excuse when I have another Nissan a 2008 that which I purchased new and which has never given me this issue. Later I spoke with the service manager (Adam Pietka) who then gives me the same run around as the service desk person and adds that there is a scratch and that it looks like someone rubbed it with something and may have caused the weather strip to come apart. I picked up the car without any fix to this issue then take a look at the weather strip and see nothing that makes this claim true. I am a person who makes new car purchases often and have experienced this type of nonsense from other automakers in the past. This has resulted in me going to other manufacturer and will do the same with my next vehicle purchase. Nissan has lost a customer and will never purchase anything with them again. I hope that others learn for my horrible experience. More

EXCELLENT SERVICE DEPT! I brought my Versa in to be serviced and had the pleasure of dealing with the Service Manager. He was honest without being pushy and got the work done in a timely manner. They even had a "quiet room" in the waiting area in which you were able to watch the work being done. After having some issues at different dealerships, my experience at Star Nissan was great. I brought my 2008 Nissan Pathfinder to Star Nissan for an oil change. After completing the oil change and car wash, my car was returned damaged with major scratches on the body of the car. My car was in grea oil change. After completing the oil change and car wash, my car was returned damaged with major scratches on the body of the car. My car was in great shape without any scratches on it before i gave it to the hands of Star Nissan. I assume there was an issue with the car wash which damaged my car. I believe accidents happen, but Star Nissan believes accidents do not happen, and refuses to own up to its mistakes and pay for the damage that was created by them. Mr. Dave Henington whom is the service manager was extremely rude to me and just wanted to convince me that there is no way his dealership did the damage and refused to fix the damaged car. Please do not do business with Star Nissan. I went and got an estimate on the damage of my car which totaled up to $6000 which I am responsible for. Star Nissan refuses to pay for the damage, nor do they refuse to return or answer back e mails that I sent to them. Again I highly recommend not doing business with this dealership, unless you want to get ripped off by these crooks. More
Horrible experience once again with this dealership. Had to wait another 45 minutes after I paid the bill because they lost the keys and there was not a sense of urgency to find them. Service advisor Rey S people and service. If you are looking for a nissan dealership in the northern area of Chicago, Star nissan is the right place. Service advisor Rey S. will help you with everything. Unlike other advisors who are pushy, he's easy to talk with. He will tell you of the details and your options. The service manager Dennis B. is a cool guy. He will make you feel that he values his customers more and he's concerned of your satisfaction and nothing else. Service Advisor Adam P. is also a great guy. He's funny without even trying. My wife likes him. Star Nissan's customer lounge is very nice. They have free coffee, chocolate and a vending machine plus free wifi. A great place to stay while waiting for your car. There are no perfect people and business, but I believe when it comes to service - Star Nissan of Chicagoland is the best!!! More

When the time comes to replace my car I will be coming to this dealership as a direct result of the level of service I receive from Adam, Sean, Ian and all the other staff of the service department! This is an update to my previous review. I went back to the dealership today for them to correct the problem with the unwanted air freshener odor. I pulled into the service bay and Greg acknowledged me, let me know that he was swamped but that he'd get to me as soon as he could. When he did come over, I told him that there was air freshener in the new filter and it needed to be corrected. Greg went back to his desk and wrote up the service ticket for the car then took it to the repair bay himself. He apologized and let me know that the car would be done in a short time. The work was completed in 20 minutes, enough time to play a few games of Angry Birds and check my e-mail. The odor was gone and I was back to enjoying the car again. This is the Star Nissan that I remember. I'll keep my guard up for a little while, just in case. More

Brian kept me informed as to what was needed, presented me with a written report and answered my questions. The work was done immediately and the serviceman couldn't have been nicer. This is the first service I have had on my car since I purchased it at Star Nissan in 2006 (other than oil changes, tires, etc. done elsewhere) and I would not think twice about bringing my car back for future service - that's how impressed I was! I read some of the other reviews before I filled this one out and couldn't believe some of the people responding were even at the same dealership. More
