I came in here to buy my first car as I recently graduated college and got a new job in an area where I would require my own transport. Things were pretty fishy from the very beginning. The car I was looking at did not have a listed price, apparently it was recently added to the lot but I was assured that it would be thoroughly inspected (on my dime) and was given the carfax on it. The initial price quoted for a 2006 Scion Xa was around $14,000 but the salesman, after being quoted many other 2006 Scion Xa's with similar mileage, agreed to bring the price down to 9500. He, a salesman named Sean, promised the car at $9500 if I agreed to purchase, and considering the clean history of the car I agreed to later be told that it would be sold at $9700 (promise already broken). I still wanted the car so I agreed and then we began dealing with the financial manager, Ray, who lied at every step. First he tacked on a $2500 warranty without asking, then when confronted about it he said it was a way of getting a bank to agree to finance the purchase. The gas tank was on empty when I received the car, which also should not happen. The car has been in service 4 times within the span of 2 weeks of purchasing it because the dealer had not actually performed any sort of maintenance on it. On top of that, after having a long argument with Ray over cancelling the undesired warranty he relented and assured me that the warranty had been cancelled. Today I found out he was lying and now have to cancel the warranty myself. Do not trust these people, they are liars and will do anything to make the sale but shirk all responsibility afterwards. We stopped by the dealership around 9:30am and he had us in our new car by 1pm. I cannot say enough about Anthony, Nick (the very detailed finance person) and Felix, who helped me set up everything in the car. If you're looking for a new car, I highly recommend Star Toyota and look for Anthony to take good care of you. More

We drove over 30 miles to view a car advertised on their site - further we double checked before leaving if the car is available and guess what when we arrived - the car was sold the week before. The salesman told us to our face that the receptionist Job was to get us through the door and that's what she managed to do . The car was on their lot for a record of 272 days and we were offered all unbelievable explanations like her list was not updated blah blah blah - it was so unbelievable as a moment ago he said the car was right there in the showroom - surely one would spot a car that is next to one desk and is sold.. From what I saw it felt that it was part of business... frankly I am appalled that anyone would treat a customer in this day and age in this manner. i am going to be writing to the Toyota as well as these guys need to be taught a lesson. More

Put deposit 2k for camry ,returned next day with insurance and remaining fund .Ray / Mian sold it to other buyer ( More Money ? ) .On demanding some answer in the dealership .Mian sales guy takes th insurance and remaining fund .Ray / Mian sold it to other buyer ( More Money ? ) .On demanding some answer in the dealership .Mian sales guy takes the deposit reciept and FRAUDLENTLY writes second deposit on it .Initialy we were told by Ray - car did not pass NYS inspection but better car in a day or two for you.But demanding for failed inspection report made them change the course and accepting of selling it to someone else but Mian managed to alter the paper to safe guard their action . Not even GM ( Richard P ) is intrested to listen to us ,let alone taking action. My letter to ownership not been answered.( May be employee at the dealrship made sure it does not reach to Mr. Mike K ) More

I was looking to lease a new Highlander SE V6 4x4. My current RAV4 lease was ending so I wanted to return the old car and take the new one. I worked with Anthony Cruz. I got the car I wanted, at a good price, and they didn't have the color I wanted in stock so they got it for me, and it even had a remote starter and they didn't try to charge me any more than we agreed to. This is my 5th lease overall. It was probably the smoothest one yet. Everybody I dealt with at Star Toyota of Bayside, NY from the receptionist to the delivery department guys was great; very friendly and professional. And they have some good looking women who make the calls to schedule appts, etc. LOL I whole-heartedly recommend this dealership. Ask for Anthony Cruz. He has called me a couple of times since I got the car to see how everything was going and if I needed something. More
