I went into Star Toyota looking for a Venza. I had been given a quote on a lease at another dealership, but wasn't too happy with the price, nor the dealings. The other dealer wasn't forthcoming with the More

This is exactly how a deal should be done and I'm glad you had a pleasant experience here at Star. I will let Richard know. As you found out, buying a car doesn't have to be a battle or a nerve wracking experience. The right mix of salesperson and customer can make all the difference in the world. A successful transaction is accomplished by: 1- Asking a LOT of questions BEFORE buying and if you feel it's needed, WRITING DOWN the answers. 2- When done, go over your notes with your salesperson to avoid any confusion of miscommunication. 3- Agree on a price both of you can live with and write the deal. if you don't agree with what's being offered, don't. Many people forget that a dealership is a BUSINESS and as a business is entitled to make SOME profit. Every deal can not be a break-even or money-looser. Problem is when some people "discover" that their dealer profited from their sale they flip out and scream "ROBBERY!" They weren't "robbed". They negotiated, came to an agreement and signed the deal. It's usually only later when the actually READ their contract that they "discover" the "hidden lies" from the "evil dealer". These revelations could have been "discovered" sooner if they had asked questions and paid attention to their salesperson during the sale. Buying a car really is..... EASY.

I found my experience at Star Toyota to be very pleasant. The sales representatives were very patient and informative and were eager to take the time to explain the vehicle and take me for a test drive prior More

Where do I begin. I went to STAR Toyota in December 2008 to lease a car after the one I had just up and died. I was desperate and only had $1,000 to put down, so I decided to lease. As a woman I felt very More

DEMANDING to be let out of your lease for a recall is not an option which is why Toyota Corporate was unable to accommodate you. As far as Scott making you feel a certain way, he was merely trying to calm you down and put your fears into perspective by noting the odds on your particular car being unsafe. Also, he wasn’t asking you to be a mechanic by directing you to check your pedals with a flashlight, he was merely trying to accommodate a hysterical person AFTER normal business hours. You were demanding, again, to know if your car was included in the recall and since our service department was closed, Scott was simply trying to explain how you could check for yourself. And yes, you were being overdramatic. As far as our business ethics… Toyota required us to repair ALL our showroom vehicles immediately as would the Federal Government if they had issued the recall order (which they didn't. That is standard practice with ANY car manufacturer. We weren’t fixing our new cars before our customer’s cars we were simply following protocol. You say, “Thanks for nothing Star?”. How about thanks for selling me a car that is STILL considered one of the safest and best selling vehicles on the market and thanks for VOLUNTARILY recalling a car for a POSSIBLE problem without being required to do so. I think you really need to step back and think about what you post before venting your feelings on a public forum. I hope you enjoy you Honda. Let's pray Honda never issues a recall.

This is a poor toyota dealer. I went inside this dealer for 10 minutes, and no one helped me. Later a guy, named Kenny, he came to help us to buy a car. We were looking for a XLE Sienna with EVP#4, but K More

I am sorry you feel you were treated poorly during your visit with us. In response to your claims however, the 2011 Toyota Sienna is an all new and completely redesigned model and every Toyota dealer in our region has had a very limited allocation of these vehicles to sell. Those that were sold (when you were looking for your Sienna) were sold for MSRP (sticker) price or VERY close to it. This was true at ALL Toyota dealers for the 2011 Sienna. That means that while you may have purchased a Sienna cheaper than the one we were offering at the time, I assure you it was not the exact same model or did not have the same configuration of options as the one you were looking at when you were here. I'm sorry you are upset at our price offer but to say we basically "suck" because we didn't offer you a price you felt was acceptable on a limited availability vehicle that is available a full model year AHEAD of schedule to me, is unacceptable.
