After quoting me $600 for a trans fluid flush to fix a well know problem with GM 8 speed automatics suffering from torque converter shudder, I dropped off the truck for service. After two days they calle well know problem with GM 8 speed automatics suffering from torque converter shudder, I dropped off the truck for service. After two days they called me back and stated that the "certified technician" recommended I needed a new valve body and it would now cost $3300. Needless to say I picked my truck up without that nonsense but they charged me $150 for diagnosis and I don't believe they did anything. After receiving the work order document I saw that they changed what I told them was wrong with it to justify the extra work. I had told them it had an intermittent shudder and they changed this to say that I said "gears are not shifting properly" which I never said because that never happened. After doing some google research, I was able to found a trans fluid additive that I put in myself for $60 that totally fixed the problem. Avoid these guys like the plague! More
