Whatever happened to good old fashioned salesmanship? Has it gone out the window? Customer loyalty? Gone too? How is it that you can walk into a dealership with a pre-approval letter from your bank with cash it gone out the window? Customer loyalty? Gone too? How is it that you can walk into a dealership with a pre-approval letter from your bank with cash and trade in hand and still not walk out with a car? Well, try going to 112 Stevens Ford. These guys are great at it! Had this been my first rodeo with them I would say, maybe there was something I didn’t communicate clearly, I mean, let’s see, see a few trucks online, salesman pushes you to come in, not yet, looking. Come in, we will work a deal. Not interested in a 2018 with 55k for $38,000. My trade in is a 2018 with 37k. But you know, that 2020 Ford Ranger Stock# UV7004 with 9,900 miles for $39,995 looks really good. Ok, try their online Capital One pre approval. Sorry, need more information. We will get back to you. Let’s go to a previous version of dealing with 112 Stevens Ford about a year ago 9/2020. A beautiful white Chevy Colorado with a cap, slide out bed tray in the rear, heated seats. Everything I’m looking for. Midnight shoppers on their website, (which, by the way is all connected to Ford of Smithtown, Lincoln of Smithtown and Jersey City Ford). Ok, click, RESERVE CAR, ok that works, email confirm, car reserved. OK, click SCHEDULE TEST DRIVE, great, pick a date and time, great. Done. Go to their Capital One credit app, Sorry, we need more information, we will get back to you. So, because I want to make sure I’m covered for this car I put in an application for credit at my bank and I get an immediate credit approval. Amazing what happens with a 750+ credit score. The next day I call up, sorry, someone else took the car, problem with the website, working on it, blah, blah, and blah. Next time just come in and we will take care of you. Fast forward to now. I moved out to Suffolk County in October of 2015. Since then I owned 4 Fords. E350 I had, leased a F150, leased a 2018 Eco sport. Then I bought it off lease. Throughout my 61 years on this planet I owned a few other fords. But especially now I would consider myself a loyal Ford customer. xxxx, I even buy and trade Ford stocks. So I think that makes me a loyal Ford customer. But if you think that loyalty buys you anything at 112 Stevens Ford, well, you’d be mistaken. So let’s get back to the present day dilemma. Apparently the IT guys at Ford didn’t fix the Capital One Website at 6% and all their requests for Pre approval are not working. Now, those familiar with purchasing cars at dealerships, if not buying with cash, have to go through this process by which they blow up your credit report with at least 3 to 5 hard Inquiries thereby bringing down your credit report score for at least 6 months or more. So in order to make sure that does not happen to me again, just did it end of October. I went straight to my personal Bank and got a great rate of 2.74%. This is generally frowned upon by the finance departments at dealerships because they lose out on their origination fee and possible kickbacks. Rumors, I know. Hard to believe. BUT…. So I went to 112 Stevens Ford with a pre-approval from Bank of America for $35,000, a trade in with equity, payoff letter from the bank and a FORD EXTENDED SERVICE PLAN which says on the plan that it’s TRANSFERABLE. And they tell me they can’t make the deal happen. WHAT? I have cash in hand, a trade in with equity, a good credit rating, available cash, loyal customer, told to come in and we will make a deal. Nope. Oh, Ford plan isn’t transferable. It says so on the pamphlet. I purchased it in October and the salesman said it was transferable. NOPE. According to 112 Stevens Ford, they do not honor that Ford product. I would have to go back to the other dealership (they are all connected, the finance guy even knew the first name of the finance guy at Smithtown Ford) and cancel it and then ….. What? Well, as a friend explained it, they would lose out on a loan origination fee and the kickback. The market is so hot they don’t need my business. This particular truck is hot and the miles are low, why sell it to me when they can get more money from another customer. WOW. Since they haven’t come back and explained anything other than we can’t make this deal work for you, my buddies explanation I guess stands. So, for those looking for a new car, don t go to 112 Stevens Ford, their business is booming. They don’t need your money. They don’t care about customer loyalty so take your business elsewhere. Customer loyalty does not exist at Stevens Ford. More
Dealt with Billy, sales manager, Frank, salesperson, and Dennis, finance-person. Professional and honest (all three). We drove 3 - 4 hours from Connecticut to see a 2018, Ford Edge, SEL. Of course, I calle Dennis, finance-person. Professional and honest (all three). We drove 3 - 4 hours from Connecticut to see a 2018, Ford Edge, SEL. Of course, I called for it’s availability. After speaking with Billy, he advised me to think it over before taking such a long drive, however, he will gladly hold the vehicle for 4 hours without any strings attached. He asked that I call him, if I changed my mind from the drive so he can sell the car if needed be. He promised that the car will be available for my family. We took the journey! We arrived 4 hours later. The car was there! Met Billy. He immediately introduced us to Frank. Frank was ready, kind, and professional. Catered to my family and trusted us with car. After 30-45 minutes of test driving. We came back, ready to “negotiate”. Ready, to go “back-and-forth” with the sales people. Ready, to hear the “hidden fees”. We met with Frank, and guess what?! No dealer fees! No doc fees! The price you see, that’s it! We even got a discount on the vehicle! Yes, in this market! We got a discount! We bought the car. Met Dennis, the finance guy, took care of everything. WOW!!! Everything went smooth. Professionalism and Honesty. Thank you Stevens 112 FORD of Patchougue, Long Island in New York. More

TWICE I was treated like garbage from Fernandez in serve. I made an appointment on line. Then I called and spoke with the service manager, he said “ when making an appointment on line you can’t wait” makes no sense. He said” don’t worry it’s okay to wait.” Well I got there service was rude and got the second time they made me cry. He said we have you down for an oil chance, I told him my car was ready to break down. He said we don’t have the parts to fix your car. For the second time I was sent to Browns dealership, They are great and took me in right away. Since I made my appointment on line I have gotten four relentless call from sales, where I was so busy they wouldn’t let me hang up, Treated like garbage, and actually when I thought about trading in my care months ago the finance woman was so nasty. I would strongly recommend you never step foot in that place. They are nothing but trouble. IGo to Browns next to them great great people. The first time I went to Steven’s Ford last year Fernandez in service told me they looked at my keep and don’t have the parts. I got my jeep from steven’s Ford. I was sent to Browns jeep and they said thank god you got here when you did, your jeep could have went on FIRE at anytime. I guess Stevens didn’t care if I went up in flames. True idiots. More

This dealer has not clue about do business , they have car on stock and they say they dont have it, if they can not cheat you I don't recommend this dealer They used old fashion sales tactic , to car on stock and they say they dont have it, if they can not cheat you I don't recommend this dealer They used old fashion sales tactic , to make you offer a bigger down , that;t why most sales person with experience move fast from there , because can not make money. I think Ford Motor Company , must review very closely these kind of dealers in order to be keeping business with them ,because any business who do not evolve , finally disappear from the market. More
I showed up to buy a used 2017 Ford Explorer. The first vehicle I was drawn to ended up having some damage I felt uncomfortable with but my salesman was able to show me another vehicle matching my needs. T vehicle I was drawn to ended up having some damage I felt uncomfortable with but my salesman was able to show me another vehicle matching my needs. The car sold me rather than the pressure of the dealership which I enjoyed and the buying process was pretty quick. They offered a fair price for my trade in and was able to make my offer happen to seal the deal. More
Friendly, no pressure and I ended up with more than I originally planned and very happy. My previous 2 vehicles were Fords and I used the same dealership for both, this time that dealership wasn’t able originally planned and very happy. My previous 2 vehicles were Fords and I used the same dealership for both, this time that dealership wasn’t able to help me. Stevens Ford reached out to me on a Friday and on Monday I drove out with my new Escape (which I love!). In the future they’ll be my first dealership choice! More
