Condescending sales manager, unreasonable trade offers Walked into the dealership on 11/19 after speaking with Christian several times throughout the day regarding a truck I was looking to buy. Was told t Walked into the dealership on 11/19 after speaking with Christian several times throughout the day regarding a truck I was looking to buy. Was told that, based on the info provided, they'd have strong offers on trades (I had two vehicles, Hellcat Challenger and Ford F-250; both incredibly clean and my expectations were set at clean trade on each). Once there, three trade evaluators climbed all over my Hellcat even getting on the ground to inspect the bottom side (car has 8500 miles and is showroom clean). Almost as though they didn't trust me...first red flag. I was asked no questions about the cars I was trading other than "What is your payoff?" over and over again. Second red flag. I was offered 3k under clean trade for my Challenger and F-250. I said, look, let's be reasonable and get this deal done. Christian disappears and an INCREDIBLY condescending sales manager returns in his place. Third red flag. These are things he said during our conversation verbatim: "Everybody thinks there car is worth more than it really is." My reply, they are clearly worth more than is being offered. "We've already came off the truck a lot." I was never actually told the price of the truck, just given an out the door price. Reverse engineering that price suggested they came off about $1500. Not exactly a steal of a deal. "I'm not arguing with you, it is what it is." I've done market research and told him all car values I was asking were fair trade and had the info in black and white. This was wholly ignored and treated as though I was a fool since he had "been in the car business for 25 years." I also mentioned that I had come from nearly an hour away based on my earlier conversations and his response..."that's not too far anyways." Yeesh... An informed consumer is not going to be treated fairly at this dealership. You've been warned. More
