Warranties, transportation fees, paperwork fees, etc can't (legally) be forcibly required to purchase the car at the advertised price. I go to buy a car from them at the advertised price, ie I didn't haggle or even try to haggle the price of the vehicle down and they wouldn't sell it to me without a transportation fee. Instead, I got a sob story about how they're not making any money off of the car, etc. This simply isn't true, they make money off of the car at the advertised price, they make money off of your trade-in and they make money off of the financing, all of which was occurring during my intended exchange. I ended up not buying after the multiple attempts to get me to pay for non-advertised fees. Never in my wildest imagination would I ever think I could show up at a car dealer, offer their advertised price and be told they couldn't sell it to me for that price. More
