I was pleasantly surprised when I was greeted by our salesman, Van Knox. He is honest, friendly, and goes out of his way to make the car buying experience as smooth as possible. I have been leasing or buying Honda vehicles since the early '90s and I like to negotiate the best possible deal. He knew immediately that I had been to several dealerships. I have generally had very nice experiences but this one stood out above the rest. In less than 10 minutes we negotiated a fair price for my trade in and new purchase price for a new Odyssey. When I was on my way to make the purchase I realized I forgot my check at home. I called Van and he said it was no problem and to just come in. I did and drove home in the new Odyssey. The next day he arranged for someone to stop by at my wife's workplace to pick up the check--saving me and my wife a trip back to the dealership. Finally, we had a hitch for our bikes that we wanted to transfer. He had the old van driven to a U-haul close to our home so we could place it on the new van. I will certainly go back to this dealership in the future--in large part because of Van. My wife and I joke that we got our van from Van. This is my 8th Honda purchase and the last 5 were from Suburban Honda. I love the saleman, Van Knox, we buy from and it's nice to return in a few years and find him still there to help with my next purcha Suburban Honda. I bought a 2009 honda crv 3 days and i have to say i am extremely disappointed with the customer service and the sales people. The sales guy didnt spend even a few minutes with me to address my concerns. T extremely disappointed with the customer service and the sales people. Today morning when i checked the car , i realized there are visible scratches and dents on the car along with a missing tail light , which was visible only on broad day light . I didnt even have a chance to do the inspection when i bought the car because the car was bought in the evening and the scratches and dents were not visible then. The sales person didnt care either to address any of the small dents and scratches to me when i bought the car. When i reported this to suburban honda, they didnt even care , rather they were very harsh and rude ... the only thing they said you have already bought the car and we are not responsible for anything. Please dont buy a car from here, just go to a better place. I am going to tweet this to all of my friends and colleagues and the people i know in next few days unless the service people take this feed back and address it ASAP . Let everyone know about what sub urban honda did , becoz i dont deserve their bad service. More
As we were getting ready to leave the showroom 4 days ago, we were greeted by Mr. Van Knox III. He asked if he could help us and we explained to him that we were looking for a used Honda Accord and aske ago, we were greeted by Mr. Van Knox III. With enthusiasm he presented 2 cars for us to test drive. He answered all of our questions and was very efficient as he presented our car to us and introduced us to the financial manager. We were not pressured or forced into making our decision. We were encouraged to take as much time as we needed. Mr. Knox wanted to make sure that we understood everything about our car before we left and reminded us to call him anytime we had a question and he would take care of us. Several days later, the tire pressure light appeared and I was concerned. I called Mr. Knox and he directed me to drive over to the repair center that very day and not to worry. When I arrived, Mr. Knox reassured me that the repair shop was aware of my problem and that I would not have to wait long. I only had to wait 10 minutes (total time) and the matter was resolved and I was driving my car again. I have never been treated with such great respect and efficiency at an auto dealership and at repair shop in a long time. I understand that auto dealerships handle many customers on a daily basis and it can be stressful and challenging, but I walked away feeling like I was very special and one of Suburban Honda's most valuable customers.....and that is how you should treat eveeryone!!! Summary: This dealership has dishonest and unethical salespersons who do not disclose full details about used cars. I had 2 bad experiences within a matter of 3 hrs. I wouldn't recommend this dealership to anyone since they won't hesitate selling you a lemon without disclosing that it is a lemon. I visited the dealership to purchase a used certified Honda Accord. They told me that they had 2 in my budget so I went to check them out. One 2008 Accord was priced at about $14000 which was easily $4000 less than the street price. When I ask the person showing me the cars why it was priced so low I was told "This has been priced low so that we can get customers like you". I kept asking what the catch was and they just wouldn't give me a reason. After I test drove the car and started negotiation on the car's price the "Financial Manager" talked to us. He was talking to us as if we were banned from buying the car and acting busy. In the meanwhile I asked for the CARFAX report of the car. that's when we knew why the price was low - it had an accident history. Then the sales person tells us slowly - "just wanted to let you know that this car had a minor accident". The financial manager was nowhere to be seen after that. I can imagine why. Then we test drove another "certified" car at the same dealership on the same day only to discover that the mileage had been tampered with (service record said 83000 miles, odometer showed 55,000 miles) and that the car had NOT been certified although the car is listed online as certified and had a sticker on it saying certified. I decided to leave the dealership immediately. More

We enjoyed the whole experience of purchasing our vehicle, and that includes dealing with Joey, who seems like he is genuinely a good guy. The communication with him was excellent. His demeanor was professional, friendly, and calm; not pushy at all. Of course, we LOVE our 'new' (used) Honda Pilot. I enjoy driving again!
