This dealership and their service center are filled with a bunch of scam artists. I had a sensor that was malfunctioning on my Nissan Altima, it was failing to read the MPH signs and sensing other cars ahea a bunch of scam artists. I had a sensor that was malfunctioning on my Nissan Altima, it was failing to read the MPH signs and sensing other cars ahead of me and to the side. The first time I brought it in was 1000 miles until my warranty expired, they didn't know what was wrong so they just reset it and said if it malfunctions again to bring it back in. It of course malfunctioned again, but this time while I was in Grand Rapids. I brought it to Fox Nissan Grand Rapids, and the front sales guy heard my complaint and immediately said "It's the front windshield sensor." He said since I was just visiting Grand Rapids, that I should take it back to Suburban Nissan of Troy because he didn't know how long it would take to fix or get the parts. I took it back to Suburban Nissan of Troy and again told them what was malfunctioning again, and they mechanic came to me after looking at my car and said that its the front grill sensor. I told him that Fox Nissan Grand Rapids said the only thing it could be is the front windshield sensor. He assured me it was the front grill sensor, and that it would be fixed under warranty. Luckily it was just before the warranty ran out so it was covered. Sure enough, 2 weeks after getting my car back, the sensor starts malfunctioning again. I bring it in, they just turn off the alert and told me that it shouldn't happen again, but if it does to bring it back in and they assured me they would fix the issue if it happened again, since my warranty wasn't valid anymore. It malfunctions again, and I bring it back in. This time they FINALLY tell me that it is in fact the front windshield sensor, EXACTLY what I had told the mechanic in the first place. They told me it will cost me $2800 to fix this because my car is now past warranty, even though I brought my car in for this issue 2 years prior before the warranty expired. Since the Fox Nissan Grand Rapids salesman knew immediately what was wrong with my care right when he heard my complaint, this means that the mechanics and salesmen at Suburban Nissan of Troy are either the biggest scam artists, lying to people and stalling on repairs, fixing other things they know are not the issue, just until the warranty expires and then the owner is stuck having to pay the bill and the higher labor cost, or they are all incompetent and don't know anything about how Nissan cars operate despite working at a Nissan dealership. When I called Nissan to try to get them to cover it under warranty, they said they were not responsible under warranty because a service center isn't connected to them and they aren't responsible for poor quality repairs. This is not the first time they have done a poor job. They completely messed up replacing my rotors when I paid for it and I went through a set of brake pads in 6 months with my car making noises until I took it somewhere else to get it fixed. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE, THEY ARE ALL NOTHING BUT A BUNCH OF SCAM ARTISTS AND YOU WILL GET UPCHARGED. THIS IS THE MOST UNETHICAL DEALERSHIP I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED. WHATEVER THEY REPLY TO THIS WITH IS A LIE!!! More
On Monday 05/02/2022 I scheduled my Nissan Sentra for regular maintenance so they did tire rotation. Couple days later while travelling back home to PA I started hearing loud noises coming from the rear regular maintenance so they did tire rotation. Couple days later while travelling back home to PA I started hearing loud noises coming from the rear right side so I stopped and took a look to find out that three of the log nuts are missing and one I can unscrew by hand. I’m furious, mad and I felt I’m in a real danger. I don’t understand how they can be that much negligent. The person who did the tire rotation is so careless and shall never be trusted with others life More

Horrible experience I took my Nissan Armada 4x4 for a diagnostics because I felt there was something wrong with my truck and instead of fixing it they made the problem wo I took my Nissan Armada 4x4 for a diagnostics because I felt there was something wrong with my truck and instead of fixing it they made the problem worse. After they did the diagnostics they told me what needed to be done to fix the problem. After a day they called me and told me it was supposedly fixed and and ready to be picked up. I went to go pick up my truck but my 4x4 would not disengage. I told one of the service workers and they tried to disengage it themselves but had no luck. He told me to leave it there another day and so I did. I went back another day and yet again there was still the same problem. I left my truck there another yet another day so they could “fix” the problem. I went back to find that the 4x4 still wouldn't disengage. I went to go talk to one of the service workers and they told me they couldn't do more and they didn't know what was wrong with the truck. I ended up leaving because I was frustrated with the service. Throughout all of this after every time they fixed it they had told me that my truck was ready and and fixed so I paid them before seeing the truck trusting them that it was fixed. In the end my 4x4 still wont turn off and I basically had to pay for them to damage my truck. I am very upset with the service and want a refund. More

The service provided was done in record time and he made an otherwise mundane chore a very pleasant experience. He is a stellar employee and certainly an asset to Nissan. More
Dave Estep deserves a promotion, but I'd miss him I'm on my fourth Z. I love them like I love my own kids. I live to drive. I stalk NISMO and GTR's on the track. I joined a rally team. I can't wait to alter my exhaust and boost the engine. I'd like to sport the Suburban logo around town on my car with a creative wrap. Z's are still a design work in process; they have issues from time to time. We Z people understand this and relish the opportunity to figure it out with our dealership service partners. I'm beyond fortunate. Dave gets it. He's direct, he's honest and he goes the extra mile. Not only does he follow up on parts and tire plugs religiously, but he fits in in the service day at the request of the client. This is so rare, I brag about to my "buy only American" friends who give me grief about buying an import in this Detroit suburb. The most experienced mechanic in this dealership has worked on all my cars. I wouldn't have it any other way. When I needed a new clutch (for $3500) on no notice and without warranty (still had 1000 miles left to go) available, I was not happy. We came to an agreement and Dave shepherded the transaction through and got me the service points I deserved. I would rather have split the cost with Nissan (the car had stayed outside in snow long before I bought it new and I think may have been predisposed to problems), but they didn't have control of that decision. I understoood and believed because unlike other service departments we all know exist in The Hall of Shame, this one is different. There is clearly a lot of turnover in staff, but Dave is a coolheaded professional with a sense of grace and humor under pressure. The staff respect him and it shows. Please formally commend Dave and the staff who always support me when my tire sensors overreact and I stop by for popcorn and a chat with Laith. I'm a consumer advocate and Chairman of a local municipal board. I deal with complaints from cable subscribers, arguably the worst customer service on earth, every week. I'd love the opportunity to work for the Suburban Collection in a Client Confidence Support Role. Don't have that fit yet...let's do it together! More
Unbelievably horrible I brought in my car for oil leak they fixed it paid $1500 they called me the car was done. Took the car back to the dealership and they told me it was another gasket after they switched 3 already and they told me it was another $1500 and they couldn't do nktnkng for me. The manager unbelievably horrible I can't believe he has a job here. More
