This is all new uncharted territory for us as the market has flooded us with challenges, including a severe parts shortage that is taking a toll on us and our customer’s experience. Replying with you see we are fully booked.... YOU booked these appointments. Please know your limitations and do not take appointments you do not have time for, especially within a week. Someone could have told us not to drop off our family vehicle for the WEEK when you had it sitting in the lot. You knew you wouldn't get to it, but you did not inform us that we could use our vehicle for the week instead of it sitting in your lot.

Sunset Ford responded

Again very sorry. We had misinformed staff telling customers one thing, and other staff saying another. We have since isolated the concern and we are doing our best to redirect customers to avoid extensive wait times. Going forward, all maintenance will be 100% appointment based, all diagnosis will be prioritized by those who drop off, then we will call customers on the waitlist as we find availability. We have never seen a demand like this and it's creating much difficulty balancing every customer's expectations. Thank you for the feedback, hopefully these new changes will make a big difference.
