Very few people can actually say they enjoy going to get an oil change. At Sunset Subaru the service is excellent and the technicians are very friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. I would recommend buying an oil change. At Sunset Subaru the service is excellent and the technicians are very friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. I would recommend buying or just servicing your Subaru at Sunset just for being comfortable while waiting to have your vehicle service with a warm cup of coffee, fresh popcorn, watching and the little legged fur babies that roam around the facility More

I took my Crosstrek in with no appointment for the windshield specialist to asses a small chip. Not only did they take my car to fix it immediately, they shuttled me to work while they had the car. Al windshield specialist to asses a small chip. Not only did they take my car to fix it immediately, they shuttled me to work while they had the car. All of this without an appointment! They really went above and beyond to work with me, and I now have a chip-free windshield! More

You messed up again. I came in to get the oil change I had asked for weeks earlier but did not get AND to have the tire pressure warning light turned off. I specifically I came in to get the oil change I had asked for weeks earlier but did not get AND to have the tire pressure warning light turned off. I specifically mentioned that. I got a song and dance about warning gauge batteries and that I likely needed new batteries in my 7 y-o car. I agreed for their replacement. I left with the tire pressure warning light STILL ON! More

DANGEROUSLY MISDIAGNOSED. I reported noise on left axle, they said it was right cv axle. I trusted them to fix the noise, but I already had the right replaced a year ago. *As I reported noise on left axle, they said it was right cv axle. I trusted them to fix the noise, but I already had the right replaced a year ago. *As I was leaving, they said left side was still making noise?!* They tried to blame the repair done elsewhere, it was not a Subaru part, saying both sides were making noise. (No!) 1 of these axles had barely 20k miles and 1 had 170k. Which do you think is bad? They foolishly only test drove it in the parking lot. EMPLOYEE WAS AT MY HOUSE 3 HOURS waiting for a tow. Car knocking noise was worse, and it became clear it was urgent; I was scammed. I requested a refund. I was told they “don’t do refunds.” I live 90 min away, rarely go to STL, I wanted a refund to get the noise fixed properly at a local shop immediately. It’s not safe to drive- the cv axle could break. If it breaks, you can lose control or cause an accident, nobody knows when. They barely drove it but let me leave the dealership/take that risk! After I complained, they wanted me to drive the car 90 min to fix left side free. No, I can’t drive that far! It could damage surrounding parts, I could get stranded or hurt, and there are other drivers. I’m stuck. They offered to tow it, but a tow truck can’t get up my rural gravel road. Huge inconvenience; I was corned by their only offer of another repair- not a proper refund. I agreed to meet a tow truck at the base of my property with a loaner car. Seems nice, nope! I waited 11.30-12.50 for the initial loaner/tow truck. A guy showed up with a loaner car- NO tow truck. They forgot to call the tow truck or lied upfront! *Valet in loaner car said he was told directly to drive my car back to the dealership, he was never told about a tow.* They tried to persuade me via phone to give my keys to this man in my driveway to drive 90 min with a damaged cv axle. No! Dealership finally calls a tow, literally says “it’s on the way.” At 4pm, dragged out in incomprehensible/unforeseeable 30ish min increments (+calls/complaints/lies) a truck comes. Valet didn’t get a break. It’s uncomfortable; this man was on my property unplanned while I was home alone. It’s weird, stupid, unprofessional, dishonest, and costing me my whole day of work. Valet had to ride back in the truck, and he was not treated well by his employer. I care about it deeply. GM displayed POOR LEADERSHIP. He lacks adequate conflict resolution skills+ bragged on the phone about being at the top where he’s unaccountable to anyone. I don’t like his attitude/demeanor. He didn’t listen, was defensive, unapologetic, and insisted a damaged cv axle wasn’t dangerous. Bro! Employees can’t be honest? Problems come from the top, period. Short staffed, bad company climate, people in a rush, afraid of mistakes= bad boss. Employees are trying their best- they have to be given the right tools/coached. You messed up the diagnosis, you messed up again while trying to fix your own problem, then inappropriate on the phone. I think I’m due a refund. $940 cv axle joint repair. Did the wrong side, told me there is still noise, left a man at my house for 3 hours, made me wait 4 hours for a tow, I had to drive 3 hours to return the loaner car/pick up my own vehicle. Worth it, no. How you go about repairs? We disagreed about the lies, the GM said he would search his employees personal phones (not legal) and said he would “review the tapes” and hung up. I insisted, but wasn’t rude. They fixed left part, never should have happened, at what cost to me beyond $940!?I asked for time + safety. I offered to compromise with a partial refund for the time spent waiting for tow + returning loaner. GM told me they charge $200 for labor, how much should I get. for my time? TGM wanted the loaner car back; I was told I could use it as long as needed. Since families need this loaner, and I wanted my own car, I returned it the same day my car was fixed. GM has not issued a refund, has not returned my calls/emails, and is never there. More
