After arranging a day off from work, I scheduled an appointment for 9:30 today to repair the A/C and hatch door on my Kia at Sunset Kia in Saraso After arranging a day off from work, I scheduled an appointment for 9:30 today to repair the A/C and hatch door on my Kia at Sunset Kia in Sarasota. (I had purchased an extended warranty from this dealership, which is why I chose them to repair my car.) I arrived at 9:15, photos of my car were taken at 9:24. I was told it would take about 2 hours for a diagnosis, which was fine. I accepted the complementary ride home to wait. At 12:18 I texted Chris in the service department asking for an estimate of repair time. No response. I waited until 1:37 and asked again. No response. At 1:45 I texted Chris, requesting the driver pick me up to come get my car. I waited about 1/2 hour for the driver and decided they were not going to accommodate me in an appropriate time frame, so a friend gave me a ride. After 5 hours, my car was never even looked at. I must add: I had visited this dealership a couple of weeks ago, asking about the hatch situation. When I walked into the service office, neither service agent looked up to acknowledge me. In fact, no one in the office did! It took about 15 minutes of me standing there, waiting to ask a quick question, for them to even acknowledge my existence. I had the same experience today. Absolutely no acknowledgment when walking into the office. I have taken my car to this dealership over the years, as this is the second Kia I have owned. My parents have both owned Kia’s as well. I now must arrange yet another day off and bring my car to a different mechanic who actually anticipates and appreciates my business. I am highly offended by the treatment I received today, and wondered why I received zero consideration. Then it occurred to me - maybe it had something to do with my MAGA stickers on my car? I’m not sure what else it could be? More
