Took a lot of time with my wife and I including an extensive test drive. Initially, we couldn't quite come to terms on a deal. So we thanked him and left disappointed. Shortly thereafter Mark contacted us at home and offered us a better deal. We were still a little bit apart. Next thing I know the new sales manager, Chuck, calls us and offers us a fabulous deal. Couldn't refuse this one. All in all, a great experience thanks to professional, courteous and more than fair people. I will definitely recommend Sunset VW, especially our salesperson Mark, to friends. More

I Bought a Car...It was not SOLD to me I had done some research on Jeeps, but my husband encouraged me to test drive the VW Tiguan. Driving along Tamiami I saw Sunset VW and I pulled in wit I had done some research on Jeeps, but my husband encouraged me to test drive the VW Tiguan. Driving along Tamiami I saw Sunset VW and I pulled in with my 12 year old BMW X3. The Beamer had served me valiantly but strange things were starting to happen. I met with Dario Taranto who was very nice and very friendly. We talked for a bit about 'stuff' and after a thorough description of the car, a test drive, 5 bottles of water and what I believed to be a good offer for my BMW, I owned a new Tiguan...It was that easy. This was night and day different than my husband's purchase experience of a Rogue that he uses for business. Everyone that I encountered was smiling and friendly. Not once did a Sales Manager strong arm me into making a decision. There was little of the typical back and forth price negotiating. We had a number and simply massaged it into something that I would deal with. I have driven German cars for 30 years and was afraid I would be disappointed in these 'new' cars. Needless to say I was not. The VW held the road and the steering was tight. I was very impressed with how solid the car felt and all the standard features. I was looking for a fun car to drive and the Tiguan is that car. Once again my husband was right. I never went to the Jeep Dealer. I still cannot believe what a wonderful experience I had at Sunset Volkswagen. More

Professional and Honest I recently purchased a pre-owned Jeep Wrangler from Suncoast Motorsports. Granted, they sell Porsche & VW, but I searched the entire Southeast US for I recently purchased a pre-owned Jeep Wrangler from Suncoast Motorsports. Granted, they sell Porsche & VW, but I searched the entire Southeast US for this car and was lucky to find this pre-owned vehicle at Suncoast. My salesman, Chuck Kennedy was personable, honest, professional and courteous. He quickly responded to my initial email and sent me additional photographs upon my request. He even sent me a video walk-around. The vehicle was accurately listed on the internet and the pictures were detailed and honest. My experience with Chuck was awesome. Chuck Kennedy and the folks at Suncoast Motorsports, Sarasota, FL has rejuvenated the "dealership" experience for me...... or they have set the bar so high that all other dealerships will fail miserably! Service clients beware Two Bad Experiences... First one, we brought car in for noisy brakes (new VW-bug) under warranty; car makes the noise 24/7. Brought it in for service Two Bad Experiences... First one, we brought car in for noisy brakes (new VW-bug) under warranty; car makes the noise 24/7. Brought it in for service to check this out and they said they could not duplicate it. Picked car up, and found a manager before we left parking lot to tell him the problem and LISTEN to the problem...which of course, the brakes were still squeaking and he acknowledge but told us there is nothing they can do, because they all do it!!! ALL!! But he would check with Volkswagen to see if they would install new brakes. Never happen....At the Second visit, was to install the door handle that was peeling. We brought car in; they told us it would be @ an hour, waited 3 hrs, car sat outside/never serviced it. Finally brought car into service area 15 minutes before closing. They took door handle off, and shorted out passenger window switch in the process, then lied to us about why the car wasn't ready...Long story short 5 days later, we get our car back after several calls to service director with NOT one return call from management. However, the service advisor, Joe was really stuck in the middle and should be commented. More
