I have been leasing VW from JD Hergenrother for 5 years now and would not dream of going any where else! The staff is always extremely friendly and easy going. My wife scheduled her 20,000 mile service online, where she was given the option to receive a loaner car, which she selected. WHen she arrived at the dealership with our two year old, she was advised they no longer provide loaner cars or would they offer a shuttle service back to our home. They stated the service would take approximately 2.5 hours to complete. If you have children, you know waiting three hours in a service department waiting room with a two-year old is not a pleasant scenario. So, my wife was forced to take a taxi home. They were not helpful or apologetic for the inconvenience. Five hours later, after still not hearing anything, we called to check the status. After several attempts we were able to contact someone in the service department (other times phone just rang with no answer). We were told the car was "just finished" (what a coincidence it just happened to be right when we called!) So not only was my wife without transportation for the majority of the day, but was also forced to take a cab with a toddler. The customer service here is terrible, don't expect to be treated with any dignity after the sale. This will be our last purchase from any of the Suntrup franchises. More

I haven't had a new car for myself since 1979 and thought I needed a nice Christmas present for myself that no-one else is going to get for me. I have bought several cars, 2 new, but not for me, I just got t I needed a nice Christmas present for myself that no-one else is going to get for me. I have bought several cars, 2 new, but not for me, I just got to pay for them. I still have to pay for this one too, but this ones mine, all mine, and I really do owe it to KYLE KETCHERSIDE and CHUCK ENKE. I'm 64 yrs. old, a very young looking 64, and act sorta like I'm younger at times. Anyway, Kyle was the first to help me at the dealership. After sitting in his cube for probably 30-40 minutes discussing what I was interested in and basically really getting to know one another, he and myself started walking the lots, in the cold, in the rain, maybe even a flake of snow here and there, to find one of two models I was looking for. Found the first one and Kyle immediately began demonstrating how well the heater worked. We then went for a short test drive, short due to rush hour traffic and weather. After returning to dealership, we discussed in more depth my needs and uses for vehicle while drying off a little. That's when Chuck came over and introduced himself, welcomed me to Suntrupt and we began talking military, exchanging stories of our time in. He told me he was ex-Army and I responded that that was okay, I'm a former Marine. Kyle and Chuck updated each other pertaining to my possible purchase if the figures are suitable for everybody. Chuck said he would start working up some figures for me while I went back out in the cold with Kyle to test drive the other car of my choice. Funny thing, when Kyle and myself found the other car of my choosing, He began showing me how well the heater worked in that one too. With temp's dropping, I guess, I too, became more interested in just how well and how fast the heater would heat. Needless to say, I drove on another test drive with the second choice and liked it too. Unfortunately, I can't have both. If it's not too late to make a long story short, oh, xxxx,I'll just make mine shorter. Anyway, this is the way it went; me and Kyle talked some things over, then Kyle and Chuck talked for awhile, back to me and Kyle, then Chuck and Kyle, then me and Chuck, then me and Kyle, well by now you,yourself, can start to imagine and wonder what the heck is going on. The final fact that matters is that between the three of us, me trying to stay close to my payments, Chuck and Kyle somehow crunched enough numbers to come up with a very suitable deal for me and still satisfy what they needed to accomplish. BOTTOM LINE: I DROVE HOME THAT NIGHT IN A NEW VEHICLE with a xxxx good heater........... You still need to know "why" of my ratings. These guys went out of their way to help ME get what I wanted at a reasonably close price for me. My honest feelings, these two were more concerned about getting me into what I wanted vs selling just another car. Quite refreshing for me, meeting people that actually care as much for the consumer as they do for a sale. Thanks guys, really, no xx, Love my new car........... More
We were able to test drive the vehicle we were interested in and we also were able to conduct the deal over the phone. We went into the dealership the next day. Our original sales associate, Sean, was off that day, but we were well taken care of by another associate, Jason, which was very much appreciated. I would definitely recommend Suntrup Volkswagon. More
