When to Suntrup VW with a plan and Shawn Sanders is the man! I recently visited Suntrup VW with intentions of buying a new TDI vehicle. Upon entering the lot I was pleasantly surprised at the wide array of optio I recently visited Suntrup VW with intentions of buying a new TDI vehicle. Upon entering the lot I was pleasantly surprised at the wide array of options Suntrup offered of TDI vehicles. They had many options throughout the price spectrum, unlike other St. Louis dealers. As I wondered the lot I was greeted by my salesman Shawn M. Sanders. He was very knowledgeable on all of VW's models and wanted to get the vehicle that was best for me personally, not the most expensive. I appreciated his non-pushy salesmenship. It was nice to just be able to talk with someone without feeling like they were being led around. After test driving the car I chose, I knew it was meant to be. At this point it was negotiation time! I was surprised at how much Shawn seemed to be on my side and not trying to run up the offer to up his kickback. Yes, I have experienced in the past from others. Shawn really seemed to want to develop a honest relationship with me which was comforting to say the least. After a few rounds of bargaining I was the proud new owner of a TDI Passat and I will unquestionably be returning for more business in the future, with Shawn! More

She also managed to offer me a good deal for the make/model I purchased. She pretty much knew how to use all of the technology in the car, and that was truly helpful. Most of the staff at this dealership were personable and helpful. My overall experience was slightly diminished when it came time to sign all the documentation because this is when I was pitched the extras, like a service contract, GAP coverage, and key replacement. When I turned down these extras, the Sales Manager's (not the salesperson) attitude abruptly changed. As for the dealership's quality of work, the car was great, but they failed to thoroughly clean the interior of the vehicle as promised. However, they did rectify this during my next trip to the dealership, a few days later. More

New car Lease I visited Suntrup to look at new autos. I went there with some trepidation, as past visits left much to be desired. In the past I was ignored, and when I finally was accompanied with a sales person I found him rude, and not helpful. I ended up leaving and going across the street to the Honda dealer, where I lease the first of the 3 autos I have had from them. I was pleasantly surprised when I was approached immediately at Suntrup by sales rep.Shawn Sanders. He proved to be knowledgeable and very proud of his products, He was very candid and forthcoming without a "hard sell" attitude. .I worked with Shawn to construct a lease that would work for me. I selected a Passat TDI- SEL, and am very pleased with the deal. For a top of the line automobile I have a lease I can afford, with reasonable payoff figure, which should allow me to purchase the vehicle and run it for many years. In summary I do not know the reasons behind the changes in business attitude, but I am happy they occurred. Under the present Management team and sales staff I will pass along my experiences and recommendations regarding both Mr. Sanders and Suntrup VW to my family and friends. Additionally, I am extremely pleased with the vehicle I possess, and am sure to enjoy it for many years to come. More

My first VW I was scared to buy a car on my own, because I don't like pushy salespeople, but Adam made it so easy. He was very knowledgeable about all the VW vehicles. I found Adam to be laid back, a good listener, and not pushy at all. I had emailed him a few things that I had wanted in the car. When I went in for a test drive, he had a car waiting. Adam told me that there is always a chance that one of us could say "no" to the car so there was no pressure. Adam was able to help me choose the better option. I didn't get my first choice in car but Adam found a great car with a good deal. He even took the time to help me set up my Bluetooth. I love my car and will be going back to Adam when it is time to trade in. More

He worked to get me in the price range I was hoping for and I left that day in a new Jetta. I think he drove me around to see at least 6 cars in your maze of a lot. I've had a lot of bad experiences at different dealerships trying to lease a car and he was friendly and eager to help even though I was only interested in leasing. Very happy with my decision and would recommend this place to everyone. The rest of the staff made conversation with me while I was waiting and the environment was great! More

I was scared to death, but with the help of Terry Hildebrandt my buying experience was perfect. I couldn't have had a more perfect sales rep than Terry. His professionalism is over the top. There wasn't anything that he could not answer about the vehicle or the buying process. There was no pressure, just great customer service. On a personal note, he was very easy to talk to and I felt like I was talking to a friend. I was entirely comfrotable with the whole experience. Kelly was also awesome. She was very friendly and funny, I could tell that she is definetly a people person. The hospitality at Suntrip is amazing. My experience with Suntrup was excellent. I walked out with a new car in less than 2 hours, and Sean and Beau were very professional and accommodating. We purchased a 2014 Jetta TDI. I received $1000 off of the price. The next day I see a commercial from Craig Suntrup with Suntrup Volkswagen advertising $4,200 off the purchase of 2014 Jetta TDI from Sun the price. The next day I see a commercial from Craig Suntrup with Suntrup Volkswagen advertising $4,200 off the purchase of 2014 Jetta TDI from Suntrup. I called the salesperson to ask why he never told us about this advertised offer. He said he didn't know about the commercial and he would talk to his sales manager. I went to the dealership and talked to the sales manager Brett. He said he would have to look into this and the salesperson never told him about this situation. I called the salesperson back and he found the commercial but couldn't explain why this advertised price wouldn't work for me only to say you have to finance through Volkswagen to get this offer. The fine print on the commercial says NOTHING about a financing requirement. The fine print did say "stock vehicle" and the dealership did get my car from another dealership. However, if I would have known that the black car would have cost me $3,200 more....I would have purchased an "in-stock" car. What happened to customer service? A good salesperson would have mentioned the best deal possible and explained any stipulations. But salesperson Joe says he never saw the commercial. Really? Don't dealerships have sales meeting to discuss the incentives, advertisements? When we discussed all of this to the Sales Manager Brett, he said Suntrup didn't do anything wrong. He also said that since I didn't get Volkswagen financing, they didn't make the money on that either. I am shocked, disappointed and disgusted with the attitude of Brett (Sales Manager). We asked him several times to explain the offer, he wouldn't do it. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE! More
