I contacted Mr. Riches and gave him specific information regarding my preferences (i.e., features needed in a car and past driving experiences [a 21-year-old Honda Civic VX]). I was considering three automo regarding my preferences (i.e., features needed in a car and past driving experiences [a 21-year-old Honda Civic VX]). I was considering three automobiles prior to purchase from Suntrup: (a) Honda Civic, (b) Mazda 3, (c) GTi. I had numerous conversations re: the GTi and its features compared to the other two cars. He clearly communicated the distinctions, with emphasis on the service/reliability expectations, which then enabled me to drive all three cars locally (in Bloomington, IL) to compare the features across vehicles. Mr. Riches' astute suggestions and understanding of the product saved me a lot of time in making a decision, and after driving all three vehicles I came to the conclusion that the GTi was the car of choice for me. My wife and I previously had purchased a car from Mr. Riches (a Passat) and were so pleased that I wanted Suntrup to be a dealer consideration in my car-buying process. Mr. Riches' arranged to drive the car to our Bloomington home shortly after purchase, and he provided on-site technical assistance with numerous features. In summary, Mr. Riches was well-informed about the vehicle and its features, and also understood other car models and their respective features; this knowledge was shared with me and led me to make a decision to purchase the GTi.
