An end to my carless nightmare! when I first started looking for a car I was planning on getting a brand new Nissan Maxima. Unfortunately the Nissan Maxima wouldn't have fit into my budget. but luckily I was able to get a great deal on a brand new 2014 Nissan Sentra 0$ down and $350 a month. overall I just really wanted to say that this dealership really went through hoops In getting me the car that I needed. I would recommend to anybody who is looking to buy a brand new car go down to Surf City Nissan because the customer service is excellent and also the financial departmentrelieved made magic happen for me and my family. Extremely frustrating experience with this Nissan dealer. I went through an insurance claim for repair of my car. I went down there to pick up my car after being told that the car was ready to go, I ended up waiting 1.5 hours before I finally left in my car. Manager of the Service department, Efrain Perez, asked me if I would be willing to pay 1/2 of the price difference between what my insurance estimated and the actual cost of the part. They needed to get an approval on the price difference before they can release the car and they were experiencing some issue faxing the related docs and such. Simply unbelievable. This should have been worked out BEFORE telling me that the car was ready. Both the Service Agent and the manager had this 'don't care' attitude the whole time I was there. I also needed to order a new set of owner's manuals as part of my claim. It took the service department to get them a total of 4 months. During the time, I always had to call to get an update on my order as they never gave me follow-up calls. They ordered a wrong manual even though I had called them twice to make sure to receive the right one. I had to keep going back there to discuss this issue because they kept screwing up. I am so tired of dealing with them and have absolutely no desire to go back there. More

Not only did they find the exact model truck and colo better. Mark Verzani and the entire Nisaan dealership staff made it such an amazing experience. Buying a car a Surf City Nissan was by far the best car buying experience of my life. No heavy sales, not a lot of oressure or haggling on a price. We told them what we wanted and how much we could spend and they made it happen. If tpyiur in the market for a new or even used car I highly recommend you go to Surf City Nissan. My experience at your place was a nightmare. I live 60 miles away from Surf City Nissan and I had multiple conversations with Alan and Mark (Sales Manager) for a 3.5 SV Nissan Altima that has been sitting miles away from Surf City Nissan and I had multiple conversations with Alan and Mark (Sales Manager) for a 3.5 SV Nissan Altima that has been sitting on the lot for over 200 days. We agreed upon a price on Friday 10/11/13. I have it in writing over text and called and confirmed. Saturday 10/12/13 Rob the Internet Director called me and confirmed my appointment. As I met Mark and Alan, very nice people and we did the numbers and I had everything ready to buy the car. As they ran my credit and we are about to sign paperwork, Mark goes the finance department made a mistake and it will be $1000 more. I asked him how is this my fault, he said it is not. They did not honor the price that we had in writing (we initial the sheet also) due to Rob or the Finance people trying to add another $1000 on the price of this Altima. I said no and left. I get a text from Mark said he talked to general manager and it will go through with the initial deal. I already drove home and it took me 2 hours to drive back home. I said fine I will come on Sunday 10/13/13. I talked to Mark and we confirm it on Saturday night. Sunday comes I get a text said to come at 12pm. I am on my way and I get another text said the deal will not be honored and he apologizes for the inconvenience. I have never been pulled and pushed like this before. Mark said Rob or someone pulled the deal but not before I was already on the 405 freeway and on my way. I then ask for the general manager name and Mark says it is Larry Smith but he does not know anything about it. However in a previous text it stated that the general manager said it was okay. Mark seems like a okay guy and very honest so this is probably a mistake but he said he is quitting because if this incident. I do not know if that is real or not. Two managers Cesar and Rob the internet director made the car buying experience a mistake. I have never been treated like this and will be very vocal to future customer to be very careful if they are looking at your dealership. I would like you to be aware of this situation. More
These guys are not only crooks, forging documents, dishonest credit applications without customer seeing it and the idiotic, unprofessional attitudes. The GM Larry doesn't care about true customer iss dishonest credit applications without customer seeing it and the idiotic, unprofessional attitudes. The GM Larry doesn't care about true customer issues, he say's "I don't give a @#%!, "You don't know who you are messing with"! His employee Tom D'Aquila threatened physical hurting after being confronted for him blurting out loud so that everyone can hear our credit issues and personal business. I made it clear they would not forget me as I will be coming back at them with a lawsuit. They thought I was the typical pissed off customer who threatens when upset. I'm glad to say, a lawsuit is on the way. My attorney has submitted a demand letter and soon after we will be happily going to court to expose these idiots. I have never been happier in executing a well deserved suit. We have over 22 pieces of evidence. BE SMART AND AVOID THESE CROOKS! THEY PRETEND TO BE VERY FRIENDLY WITH A FAMILY ATMOSPHERE, BUT SOON AS A PROBLEM ARISES, YOU ARE WORSE THAN A ENEMY. More
Dealer lied!!! Did not pay off my lease, now my old leased nmac wants 2000. This dealer doesn't care. They will not do anything to cover their mail letter, "we'll pay off your lease, no matter how mu leased nmac wants 2000. This dealer doesn't care. David basically offered me a deal I couldn't refuse. My payments now are only $20 more for a 2013 (old car was 2008); and the new deal includes maintenance and service plans! He bends over backwards. My payments now are only $20 more for a 2013 (old car was 2008); and the new deal includes maintenance and service plans! He bends over backwards. He makes sure you are taken care of, from the finance to having things taken care of by service or parts department. I highly recommend this Dealership and David! Although I wish more emphasis was given to the option to purchase "cooling off" time. I was in a hurry, they knew this, and when it came to signing it was all a blur. I really really miss my old car. I wish I hadn't traded it in, but I'm an adult, nobody forced me to buy the new car. I wish I had the cooling off thing because I really miss my old car. I will still come to this dealership when i want to replace what I bought (which will probably be next year) and I will go when I have plenty of time and buy something like my old car. More

A nightmare- a terrible nightmare. Last week I received a price for a 2012 Frontier Pro-4X that was pretty good. It wasn't the best but they said they had the exact truck I wanted. I went there and was t a price for a 2012 Frontier Pro-4X that was pretty good. It wasn't the best but they said they had the exact truck I wanted. I went there and was told that, "Well, we don't have the truck but we can get it". OK- that's fine (LIE #1). We then talked about price and the salesman, Alan, made a hard pitch for Nissan Financing even though I had Credit Union pre-approval. He told me that because I had negative equity on my trade-in the Credit Union would never finance my car (LIE #2). I called the Credit Union and they said the dealership was wrong and attempting to strong arm me. I should have left then but I didn't and that was my mistake. The salesman said he'd have the truck for me that afternoon (LIE #3). I left to go get my wife and the "convenience check" from the Credit Union. My wife leaves work early and we get a call indicating that the truck won't be at the dealership until the next day. OK- so that sucked. I then asked the salesman for the "out the door price" so I could tell the Credit Union. He quotes me a certain amount and I tell the Credit Union. The next day I'm excited to get my truck! I go over to get it and am told by a new salesman that the "out the door price" was wrong because the previous salesman subtracted my $5000 down payment. (LIE #4 and a HUGE ONE). OH MY GOD. I could not believe it. Finally, they bring a new salesperson who works us and works us until we finally acquiesce. He tells me I can get a free "hat" and that the dealership will put in a GPS system (2012 Frontiers don't have one) very reasonably. I calm down (my wife is still livid) and we leave with the truck after 5 hours. The next day I call the dealership about getting my GPS- they give me the Service Dept. who then gives me the Parts Dept. I talk to a very knowledgeable guy who quotes prices and says I need to come in and pick out my GPS as they range in price from $170 to $420 and the highest price GPS has a lifetime update from Garmin. He says there is a mount that costs $110 dollars and that the labor is about an hour. Today, I go over and when I get to the Parts Dept. there is a guy there who says, "What? A GPS? We don't even have those anymore - that was like 5 years ago (WHAT??? LIE #5). I tell him I talked to someone in his department and they were on the website. So he looks it up and says, "oh yeah- here's one" I ask him if that's the one with the lifetime updates. He says "lifetime updates? They don't make those". He then gets the rudest guy of all- the king of rude- Ted Lopez the Parts mgr. who says , "we have them but its $110 for the mount, $420 for the wiring (WHAT??) and the cost of the Garmin and there is NO LIFETIME UPDATING" (he spoke to me like I was an idiot and that was LIE #6). At this point they offer my free hat and one of my 3 sales people tells me to wait and he'll talk to the parts department. After 20 more minutes this Ted Lopez comes out and says, "OK- $838 is the best I can do and it does have a lifetime update". I told him to give me a copy of the quote and I left. (Never did get the dumb hat!) I WILL NEVER GO TO THAT PLACE AGAIN. I am 56 years old and I have never, ever, been treated so poorly by a car dealership. I contacted NISSAN USA today and told them I don't care about the free car washes and oil changes- I'll go anywhere else for service. Follow-up- NISSAN USA calls today and is horrified by the story. They tell me they will call the General Manager and explain what their concerns are and he will be calling. The result? I get a belligerent and aggressive message left on my answering machine from a Ken claiming to be the General Mgr and saying, "I don't even know what the problem is but call me with your questions". ARE YOU KIDDING? No wonder the employees act like they do. Why don't you get the story from NISSAN USA as they promised you would? I will go on every website I can and tell this story. DO NOT GO TO SURF CITY NISSAN. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. More
