Extended warranty ran out the week before expensive maintenance was required for this car. I bought the car from Tameron, but after they refused to even give me a token discount on the over 600 dollar maintenance was required for this car. I bought the car from Tameron, but after they refused to even give me a token discount on the over 600 dollar repair bill, I will never darken their door again. The following month I went out and bought a new 2009 Toyota Camry to replace a 1998 4-Runner. I would have bought another Accord. When I decide to replace the Accord as well, I will again turn to Toyota, unless I can find a more trustworthy and dependable Honda dealer. More
This dealer has a Life Care policy that is bogus. The policy states that if you allow Tameron Honda to service your vehicle they will guarantee a 250,000 mile drive train warranty. All of my service has policy states that if you allow Tameron Honda to service your vehicle they will guarantee a 250,000 mile drive train warranty. All of my service has been completed by Tameron and on my 50,000 mile visit I was told that my warranty was voided because I did not complete some of the requirements, one being change a dust and polution filter in the dash, which has nothing to do with the performance of the drivetrain. I have a signed document stating that I wish to participate in the Tameron Honda Life Care program and I also have all documentation of service provided by Tameron on my vehicle. Tameron service failed to complete all required service on my vehicle. While out of town my car began to operate poorly(poor gas mileage and low power). My husband and I pulled into a local auto parts store and pulled the air filter only to find out that at 40,000+ miles that it had not been changed. When I take my car in for service, especially Life Care Service, I expect the air filter to be replaced as well as any other services demed needed on that particular visit. I would like to know if Tameron has screwed anyone else with this bogas LifeCare agreement. More
We purchased a 1999 Honda from them about a year and a half ago. They sold us the extended warranty on the car, and we were promised that if anything "so much as a radio knob pops us, it's covered". Boy half ago. They sold us the extended warranty on the car, and we were promised that if anything "so much as a radio knob pops us, it's covered". Boy were we taken! We have taken the car in for about 4 different things since purchasing, and NOTHING has been covered under the warranty. Not headlight wiring, not dashboard lights, rotors, brakes - nothing. We swear there is a problem with the transmission, but each time we take it in, they charge us $80 for the diagnostic test and then can't find a problem. My warranty runs out in 8K miles, and I'll bet you anything they can find the problem after that. They have even denied fixing things that the warranty plainly states are covered due to a "normal wear and tear clause". This dealership has proven to be one of the most rotten, low-down dealerships I have seen. They truly give used car salesman a bad name and I would never send anyone there. Not to mention the fact that we are about $4K upside down in a car we put $1500 down on! Do you think we got screwed or what?? Ray & Brooke Cavanaugh, Gardendale, AL More
After purchasing my Honda Prelude from this dealer several years ago, I would have rated that experience as so-so. But after a battery change ( not close enough to be done at the dealership) my car st several years ago, I would have rated that experience as so-so. But after a battery change ( not close enough to be done at the dealership) my car stereo system was locked up. An antitheft device. No big deal, they said, if you bought the car from us we will track the serial number and give you the code to unlock the system. Once made the trip there, they did not have that info, and wanted to charge me $75 to pull the stereo and get the serial number to track the code. I told them before I paid $75 to get that info, I would sooner go to a car stereo shop and upgrade to a system with a CD player ( mine just had cassette). I also reminded them that since the purchase, I had given them business for quite a few of the routine, yet high dollar, maintenance services. <br> <br>I learned that the code they were speaking of is generally given to you on a card at the time of the sale. I still have the original paperwork in a ziploc bag...even including the window sticker..and I never received a card with the code. After realizing that, I called them back. They said to come on down, they would "work with me"<br> on that. <br><br>Once there, for the second time, they again said the charge would be $75. Not what I call "working with me". I am sure they thought since I was there I would cave and pay them the money. Did not happen. Went to a car stereo store, they pulled the stereo and tracked the code for $25......<br><br>And Tameron gets no more business from me. More
