We reviewed the repairs we made to your vehicle with our director of service. It's documented that you and your husband rejected our suggestion to diagnose the issues prior to installing the ECM. He mentioned that your friend / mechanic had told you that was the problem and you just wanted the ECM installed. It is also documented that your windshield was cracked when it arrived. Our “friend / mechanic” is Midas that has been servicing our car since Dick Norris performed an unnecessary “valve job” on our car at 40,000 miles. Which by the way has a certified GM auto tech on staff that came from Dick Norris. A diagnostic test WAS done on the car at Midas before it went to Tasca for the needed ECM and only after we learned that Dick Norris had been bought out. Otherwise, we would have waited for Midas to get the part. We never told you we didn’t want a diagnostic test. We told you we didn’t want a tune up because it didn’t need a tune up. Your service rep told us it was because Midas didn’t use GM parts when in fact…you ended up using the exact same parts Midas used. So that was a LIE! And no…the car did NOT arrive with a cracked windshield! Furthermore, we were told the car was “running rough” when in fact the car wasn’t driving at all!!! How could they make that assumption when they never even drove it? And WHY would anyone in your company with knowledge show my husband an a retired police officer HOW to disconnect a part “so they could drive it” knowing full well what it would do to the car? Or was that your service department’s plan all along. From my Experience, Tasca is no better than Dick Norris was. If I could give this ZERO stars…I would.
