Oil change The reason I am not rating this a 5 stars is because I was rubbed the wrong way by one of the advisors, Alyssa. Dakota was my advisor & she was nothin The reason I am not rating this a 5 stars is because I was rubbed the wrong way by one of the advisors, Alyssa. Dakota was my advisor & she was nothing but excellent!!! I really liked her. But I did have a problem after my oil change & my check engine light came on immediately as I started to drive away from the dealership. I called when I got home & got Alyssa on the phone & explained that I was JUST there for an oil change & tire rotation & now my check engine light is on. She automatically insisted that the check engine light was NOT from anything that was done to my car that day. I told her but my car is brand new & this was my first ever oil change on the car & it only had 7500 miles on it. I told her I saw a Lincoln tech student working on my car & I was NOT happy with that. It was not disclosed to me that students would be doing the service to my new car & that I did not want a student working on my car, only an experienced Ford Tech. She also automatically said that the student is great & that wouldn’t effect anything on my car. But it did!!! I told her I wanted to bring my car back to have it looked at because of the check engine light & she told me that there would be no one available to look at it & it would cost me $129.99 for a diagnostic test that would be over an hour. Well I insisted that I was bringing it back because it had something to do with my oil change & I have a baby & would not be driving around with my check engine light on. We had a past experience with another delete who left a value cap on the engine after an oil change & it flooded the engine with oil & seized! So I will never take “oh it wasn’t anything we did” as an answer anymore! The reason I didn’t just turn right around while driving was because I did have the baby with me & needed to change her & get her milk at home. I brought the car back & Alyssa wouldn’t even look at me! I saw I believe Jen was her name? And she told me that she will let Dakota know I was there & they will get my car in! After about 45 minutes my car was done & guess what?!?!? The diagnostic test cane back as my oil cap was not tightened after the oil change & it was triggering a check engine light! So I said right in front of Alyssa to Dakota, ooh so you mean IT WAS related to my service I had done & Dakota replied yes! So that is horrible customer service from an advisor who is the front line to customers automatically getting defensive & insisting my check engine light wasn’t related to my services I had done because it ABSOLUTELY was related! I have nothing but good things to say about Dakota & Jen. Dakota again was superb!!! More
