Things were off to a great start. I got a trade in price and new 2020 Tundra Crew max price thru the internet. Unfortunately when I got to the dealership the deal changed. Shocking right? My trade in value and new 2020 Tundra Crew max price thru the internet. Unfortunately when I got to the dealership the deal changed. Shocking right? My trade in value dropped from around $11k to $6,500. The salesman said they never should have given me the trade in value over the phone. I told him a gave them access to my vin and the truck had only been in 1 minor rear end accident that was less than $2k to fix. He went on to say, the price I got on the new truck was so low he had no choice but to reduce my trade in value. It was a good price as I had been shopping for about 6 months. I had no choice but to trade in my 2006 Tundra that I loved because Prime Toyota botched my frame recall repair job and there were soft ball size holes in the frame of my truck. Prime Toyota and Toyota corporate just played the blame game. The MA attorney general did nothing more than send them a letter asking them to play nice. Anyway I am going on and on. I could not in good conscience sell it privately. I sucked it up and traded in the truck. If I could have I would have walked with the trade in and just bought the new truck. Oh one other thing. The salesman was new and he did not know the truck. He told me that the truck lane departure system would gently stir me back into my lane if I drifted on the highway. I tested it on my drive home. It does not do that. He also told me the buttons on the mirror did some magical adjustments for cutting down bright lights. The buttons were actually for garage door openers. Bottom line good pricing but the usual shenanigans, giving them a rating of just what you expect from a car dealership. More
