Took my car to the Expressway Toyota in Dochester today, 2/3/2020, b/c the wiper fluid was coming out on the passenger side ONLY. The rep, though professional, explained in a very confusing & roundabout w 2/3/2020, b/c the wiper fluid was coming out on the passenger side ONLY. The rep, though professional, explained in a very confusing & roundabout way, that they charge a $130 diagnostic fee if they diagnosed the issue but I decided NOT to have the repairs done there. However, if I chose to have the work done there I’d pay whatever it cost for parts and labor, which could be less or more than $130 depending on the cost of parts etc. That said, I was shocked to learn that I was billed $130 since they fixed the issue without much ado in what I consider record time for a car dealership, considering that I didn’t even have an appointment. Of note, according to the rep, the problem was caused by the dislodging of the tube feeding the driver side window with wiper fluid....the mechanics essentially just put the tubes back into place and stablized it with clips they already had on hand. I asked the cashier to explain the bill, but she had no clue and said it was a 1hr service fee....i paid the bill because I’m 6mth pregnant, was tired & didnt feel like arguing with a rep who I felt didnt know how to explain the work/cost his company offers, and was simply trying to take advantage of of a woman. Im extremely upset and feel cheated. He would benefit from more training. More
