perhaps a bait and switch Yesterday we think we fell fowl of a bait and switch at Taylor Hyundai Perrysburg. We are looking to replace my 1999 Oldsmobile Silhouette with a late Yesterday we think we fell fowl of a bait and switch at Taylor Hyundai Perrysburg. We are looking to replace my 1999 Oldsmobile Silhouette with a later model mini-van for my craftshows/markets. We have been looking and on Thursday night I received a telephone call from an AJ (salesman) at the above company saying he had a 2009 Chrysler Town & Country Touring. I asked AJ to send me information on the vehicle to which he sent me a link and from what we saw was excellent for the asking price of $5,750. We called him back and I put Linda on the telephone to ask a couple of questions and he gave her the price of $6000.00 and she made arrangements to go up there Thursday. When she got off of the telephone she mentioned the price I said no on the link it was less and also informed her that the time she arranged we already had a previous appointment so I tried to call back but the dealership was closed. I called first thing Friday and spoke to a woman who said she would give AJ the message and he was to call back well of course no phone call. I called again and left a message saying we would be there Saturday (no set time). Saturday we called him a couple of times and left messages as telling him we didn’t want to travel over an hour if the vehicle had gone. We finally got hold of him at 1.30 p.m. he answered a couple of questions we had and ensured us the vehicle was there and would take it for a test run and take more pics and call us right back. I told him okay well we are on our way. Well no phone call or pics whilst driving up there and when we got there he told us the vehicle was sold an hour ago. Omg I hit the roof and anyone that knows me I wasn’t quiet about it either as we were walking out I wanted to make sure everyone one that was there heard me. I said you even asked if I was going to pay cash or finance so he knew we were buying it. He replied well perhaps we have another vehicle if we cared to see. He showed us to a booth and said are you interested in any other vehicle we said no you know we want a mini-van. He said well looking through the inventory there is nothing in the same price range to which I replied (not quietly either) of course there isn’t. he asked us to wait a moment and he will see what he can do with another – well he hadn’t been gone three minutes when another salesman (supposedly) came and asked if we were okay etc. he was obviously there to try and smooth things over which of course my temper wasn’t going away. When he realized it wasn’t working he said I will see what is happening. He came back not AJ Jarouche and said there was nothing they could do! I am not leaving this alone Monday I will be on the phone trying to speak to the General Manager of that branch of Taylor Hyundai. So now that I have had my whine my info to you is – DO NOT DEAL WITH TAYLOR HYUNDAI OF PERRYSBURG – they have no morals or manners!!!! Please pass this on to anyone you know that is thinking of purchasing a vehicle from any Taylor company! More
